We'll see a massive influx of minority owners like this as the 49ers raise the level and profile of the club. An ITK'er on WACCOE mentioned it way back when the club was going through the change of ownership that they wanted to make Leeds 'America's club'. For the die-hards and legacy fans at first sight that might sting the tongue, but we can't underestimate where that could take us medium to long term if we were actually the biggest team in America in 7-8 years time. In a world where Oligarchs and Sheiks have all but run out, infrastructure, public profile and a bulletproof plan of action might just make this once huge club great again.

Good to see more investment coming in, thankfully they have more faith in the clubs progression than far too many fans do. We undoubtedly have a very talented squad, but a bit of experience and leadership has been our downfall for our young and probably exhausted players. My mother has since passed but her legacy is marrying me to this team that is a natural born laxative. Would I have it any other way?? No. I've seen us win the old division 1, seen multiple non league teams beat us. My hometown team Hereford even beat us which I went into hiding for weeks. There has been lots of ups and downs and my obsession with this team was part of the reason I got divorced from my first wife. She didn't understand why a team could affect me the way it can. The emotion of being a Leeds fan. Jeopardy is never far away! It's this sense though that keeps us moaning, keeps us invested, keeps us on the edge of our seats and alive!! Imagine being Celtic in Scotland or Man City here (B4 they get sanctioned for cheating). Our fans would pack Elland Road where the football would be secondary to the experience. It's the jeopardy that keeps us raucous, mobile phones out of sight when a goal is scored and limbs everywhere. We'd all like to have things our way but when the opposition has the same objective we do, then we have no divine right except the outcome that favours us. We do expect better and I've seen so many fans seemingly throw in the towel on a team that is young and unpredictable. All those teams chanting about us, even dog botherers that have been relegated (🤣 embarrassing) let them have their moment in the sun as clouds are coming their way and live in the fact that they would like to be like us but they are not. We are Leeds and we're proud of it 👊 (come on you white jersey beauties, take us back to where we belong!!)

Will Ferrel is a good investor. Its not about his cash its the marketing exposure he can generate which is a lot. Of course he has to spend to buy a stake but the benefit of having him on board is not to be underestimated.

It's good to see investors getting involved in Leeds United, but what matters is that what happens on the pitch, players will definitely be leaving us, so getting the right replacement will be difficult and those who come will have to be able to get on well with squad and especially the manager.

what i like about this investment arm is that income, even through investors COULD be seen healthy for financial fair play rules. It's income. So IF we don't get promoted, losses can be offset against this new income stream. Very very smart business sense for Leeds United MOT

My understanding is that investors, just can't throw their own money to get players. It has to come from other sources like sponsorship,shirt sales etc

The Athletic say he’s a limited investor much like Crowe and others rather than a general investor. As much as £130m net worth sounds it will pale compared to what the York’s and Lowy’s worth already was. The main benefit of this will be commercial exposure. It also strengthens my belief that we will be able to go again next season should the worst happen in the playoffs because I can’t see why he would invest in a dead project.
