I can understand bikers and cyclist filming motorists on their phones, but the best thing to do is send the footage to the police and let them sort the matter out. That's what they are there for. Confronting someone like you are the police could end very badly.
Large vehicles often need to split lanes to get round tight junctions. The bus driver had no option due to a smart driver in the white Porsche who was positioned at the extreme left of the marked lane. Look closely, the Porsche driver encroached into the left lane. Cause and effect.

5:34 given that the van driver did a poor job accelerating on the slip road, why would you not just back off a bit to ensure they still have space? Good road users fix other people's mistakes.
Because backing off could cause a knock on effect behind him, braking or slowing down using engine braking could cause an accident, especially on a motorway
@@AnthonyOBHD Woooow ok so let's run through the scenario: At 5:30 we can see that the van is going to be merging and that our speeds aren't matching so there is a potntial problem. At 5:44 we are fully alongside the van with no escape route for either driver. That's 14 seconds we had to adjust our speed. Let's see how it could have been done At 5:30 we see the risk. A quick mirror check to the right to see if we can move out to make their merge easier tells us we can't because the coach is either pulling up alongside us or already alongside us. So being generous with a slow mirror check, at 5:34 we know we either need to increase or decrease speed to create a gap for the van. Now it looks like we're driving a larger vehicle, so probably the only available option for us is to slow down. We now have 10 whole seconds to shave off maybe 4-5 mph to avoid catching the van and if possible grow the space (that still exists) a little bit. We lightly touch the brakes just to trigger the lights, indicating to drivers behind that we are slowing down to allow the van in front of us, and proceed to shave off 1mph every two seconds (or even less if we had the mental capacity to make this decision more quickly than 4 whole seconds). That's such a slow rate, we just have to adjust our throttle slightly; nowhere near engine braking or any kind of rate that poses a risk to drivers behind us. The van safely merges in front of us. The gap is probably a little tight, as it often is with cars merging in at junctions, so we continue to gradually grow the gap and if the van driver continues to hold a slower speed, begin checking our mirrors to evaluate whether we can overtake. It's really not that hard.
Highway code 259 ........Joining the motorway. When you join the motorway you will normally approach it from a road on the left (a slip road) or from an adjoining motorway you should...... give priority to traffic already on the motorway check the traffic on the motorway and match your speed to fit safely into the traffic flow in the left-hand lane. End of story as it's not the prerogative of motorway traffic to slow down for you as you must speed up to motorway speeds.

But that's not the end of the story is it? People make mistakes all the time. Do you just sit there and have an incident every time someone's mistake puts you in danger? Do you just sit there and when they have to take dangerous action at the last second, go home and submit the clip to a dashcam channel? I don't; I help the situation and make it a non-event. If you truly believe that because one driver violated the highway code and one didn't, that means there was only one bad driver, you're delusional. "But I was in the right" may go on your tombstone one day and I don't want that to happen to you.

@3:48. While not really the best time merge into the lane the Fiesta did about the best he could. Moved as far in front of the HGV as possible and never touched the brakes once. The HGV could have sorted the issue by just decelerating a little. But no decided to use his high beams and try and intimidate the Fiesta by driving super close. So I dont really have any sympathy for the HGV driver.
When you stop using Google maps and open your eyes and read the road signs you wont need to be cutting in last minute,also wtf was it doing in lane 3 if you know your coming off soon always quick to bash the hgv drivers no one is Mr or Mrs perfect we all make mistakes but the ones that don't learn is morons like this fiesta type as they used to their bad habits.

It's very simple so try and keep up........ They are extremely vulnerable to being seriously injured or killed by idiots driving motor vehicles who are paying attention to everything but what's around them. Advice for the cyclist - just send the clip to the police and let them do their job. Policing is not your job. Agree that phone use in cars is terrible but you need to report it via the official channels.

Cyclist that go through red lights (not in this clip) and blatently overtake cars on the opposite side of the road when there are oncoming cars and vans need their tyres puncturing! These idiots need to abide by the laws of the road before calling anyone else out for any wrong doings. I don't use my phone while driving and I try to abide by all traffic laws but when cyclists are blatently going through red lights and overtaking cars in 20mph zones, this just isn't on. Keep your views to yourself, squeaky!

I agree, but just repeatedly extending a ban or repeating bans, you are likely to find that many will drive whilst banned. On the 3rd occasion they are clearly not going to learn, so either their car should be seized and sold/crushed, or order them to provide unpaid charity or community work, starting at 40 hours first occasions, 80 hours second occasion and so on. We have insufficient ANPR camera’s to capture vehicles and a decent image of the driver on the road. I would like to see high quality ANPR cameras fitted to every traffic light and covering the hatch markings of every dual carriageway/motorway. The fines would soon recoup the costs.
@@Yorci62 "many will drive whilst banned" in that case, put them behind bars for the same time they were banned. and the time behind bars should not count towards the ban. so if they get banned for a month, and get caught driving a week before the end of the ban, put them away for a month, followed by that remaining week of the ban.
