"OH YOU LUCKY DUCK!!!!!" is what I yelled the minute you opened the Strout. I guess you heard me because a couple of beats later you declared yourself a lucky duck as well. Not sure how that happened, since I am live in New Hampshire and you are on video from London, hours in the future! I am equal parts happy for you and insanely jealous. I can't believe I have to wait 4 months. 😭 Enjoy. I hope it is everything you - and I - want it to be. 🍀🦆‼️
Book mail! 😍 Ooooo a new Elizabeth Strout book! Can’t wait to read it. Have read all her others. And the Sarah Moss book and My Beloved Life book sound interesting. Happy reading!
My envy over your proof copy of Tell Me Everythjng is profound!!! And I really enjoy the Quirke novels so I am envious of that as well. I’ve heard very good things about My Beloved Life. And I know exactly what you mean about book packages feeling like Christmas. I just received a proof copy of the new Elif Shafak novel and did a happy dance!
Aaaahhh! The Elizabeth Strout book!!!! I just reread all the Lucy Barton books in preparation.Cinema Love is on my list as well. I can only dream of receiving surprise books but I really enjoy how excited you are opening the packages!
It's 1 am here in Australia and what a treat to see you unboxing some treasures (I'm very envious Eric). Love, love the sound of Briefly very beautiful so will be chasing that one up for sure. Your enthusiasm is life Eric 😅 always get some awesome novel ideas that I never would've known about with out you. Have an amazing day....I'm off to bed to dream of new stories and adventures (in paper form 😅).
You’re a super lucky duck indeed!!! I’m so looking forward to reading Tell me Everything! I’ve listened to three of the Lucy Barton novels superbly narrated by Kimberly Farr, am going to listen to Olive Kitteridge soon and then I’ll have to wait until September 10😭
i've read the first three of the banville's published under his pen name and they are among the worst books i've ever read..full of tics and alchohol and nastiness..i wish i could find the quote but i was put off also by an article when the first one came out and banville bragged that he never read mysteries but then read a maigret by simeon and thought..oh i can do that...believe me he was wrong.
