Sadly, since there doesn’t seem to be any sort of transparency on Dooney’s part, I’m giving these bags a pass. Why is it hard for them to upload info on their site describing their materials? That, along with all the variations you just received in your latest batch of “new” bags really gives me pause, especially since these aren’t inexpensive bags to begin with. Bottom line is, I’m just left with confusion, lol! Enjoy the bags you decide to keep!
Totally understand where you are coming from. I find them MORE than worth it, especially after digging around and finding info on the collection. Henry's products are made from bull calf leather (the leather comes from Tanneries Roux, which is owned by LVMH and has supplied some leather to Hermès, Moynat, Delvaux, Loewe, etc.), which explains why it is so amazing. Though their website and store front are no longer around (everything was moved to Dooney dot com at the beginning of the pandemic), they are still being made at the "whim" of Peter Dooney. So the bags featured here are a new batch. I LOOOOOVE them!!😍 Dooney needs to add more accurate stock pictures and update their original info now that the bags are being made again and added to Dooney's site.
