That one with the round dish (elephant) is a wax warmer. wax goes in the bowl and candle goes under the bowl.

Wax melts in the top and a tea light to melt the wax on the bottom.

Oh dear in the main a load of non essential tatt. I’m amazed they can get so excited over stuff that will end up in charity shops or be unwanted gifts.

It is inaccurate to say "they get a better deal when they sell to American companies." Actually, Fair Trade is a way to AVOID those American corporations that pay next to nothing for a item and then sell it in the USA for a huge profit. Fair Trade programs insure that a fair share of the profits go back to the makers, often home-based craftsmen and craftswomen, so that they are able to actually improve their lives and move out of poverty.

I would ad that the beauty of the USA is not that we are the best in all things, but that we have the opportunity to make choices, collectively and as individuals, to learn about the world and continue to move forward in a positive and supportive way.
