A word for those tired of seeing the Fast and the Furious castings. It allows new castings to come out that would otherwise not be done. Seeing these new castings hopefully coming into the mainline (the Mazda rx8 comes to mind) so we all can be happy with new models coming down the in different colours.

The Fast and Furious cars are some of the hardest cars to find up here. Scalpers clean the shelves before anyone can even get a glimpse of them. For example the Buick Regal Grand National I still haven't seen one of those in store yet. Scalpers here are absolutely horrible. Flat out obnoxious, rude, and they will block the entire Die-Cast car aisle from anyone else while they load up their carts.

I haven’t found a complete set of Wal-mart HWs F&F cars in over a year, maybe two years. This multipack and the other Wal-Mart sets I had to get off eBay for ridiculous prices bc of all the scalpers 😩

Great boxset, very nice to see tampo work progressing massively in it's quality with these semi premium sets. I'll definitely be picking one up if I find one, all these casts would be appreciated additions to my collection, except maybe for the ice charger... Let's see how store availability pans out!

16:42 actually it does say “Skyline” on the back but it’s also in black, you have to shine the light in a certain angle to see it. 😉

I went back and checked the premium version I have for the Skyline text on the back and mine is actually missing it. It looks like they started to stamp the wording but it didn’t take 😫 I did have to hold it up to the light to even see the remnants of it too - I have a few more of those in the package somewhere so I’ll have to check those out too!

I do agree with you that plastic wings do add an extra level. I love them and for the most part they are all going away.

They are - which I find odd as they are cutting metal out of most models, but I assume the process of molding the plastic part through the body is cheaper than adding that same amount of metal to the car.

I hope I get lucky set since most of these cars I’d love to grab. The only existing castings I’ve owned were the Skyline and the GT3RS from the 2020 5 pack plus the Escort which was the original New Model from the 2015 mainline.

@@64Wheels yeah I’m glad I started my hot wheels collection with that five pack. Also I kind of understand where the collectors are coming from when they get annoyed about the numerous rereleases of some castings. 5 packs or the 10 packs are a perfect excuse from Mattel to cash in more but I can see it as a double edge advantage too as for someone like me could get started on the fly.

The Fast & Furious line is considered to be mainline plus, like mainlines with a bit more detail - so you’ll notice some more detail on a lot of these cars compared to the slightly cheaper mainline releases.

It does have an interior, but the windows are so dark black that unless you are shining a flashlight under the chassis, you can’t see it.

I just ordered the 10 pack from Amazon, But you're right the tampo work is fantastic! The Porsche I am a little miffed about though, why it didn't receive rear tampos is beyond me! Why offer EVERY car in the set with full tampos and not give the Porsche any attention, it doesn't make sense to me! They should have omitted the Porsche and replaced it with the orange Supra or the Ford SVT Lightning!

Oooh you’re right there - a basic SVT Lightning would have made this set even better! Hopefully we get more of these 10 packs bc overall they are very good (and it gives them a chance to give us that Lighting and another Supra!)

@@64Wheels Yes I would love to see another 10 pack this time with Dom's charger, the orange supra the GTX, Jeep Trackhawk, W Motors Lykan Hypersport, BMW M3 E46 with the light blue wheels and so on lol. Basically a mainline set of the Premium cars!

@@brkn832 I typed in Hot Wheels, but I am in Canada and these sets were 19.99 Canadian and I bought 2 sets. They increased a lot after I got the second set, they went from 19.99 to 39.99 and last time I seen them on Amazon they were 79.99! Amazon Canada no longer has any left and doesn't plan to get more!

With the new set coming out we will only be missing two cars from the original movie Edward Acura Integra and the white one that Asian guy drove in the 1st iconic race. And a better version of Hector Honda Civic. And that would be a compset of all the iconic cars in the 1st fast and the furious movie. Let Hot Wheels know we won't them 2 cars and then they can work on the 2 fast and 2 furious iconic cars from that movie.
