my first vr headset was something similar in 2015, i don't consider 3dof smartphone vr cases "real vr" but mine was a bit different.... i installed on it a bunch of sensors, using wii bar to track movements, no motion controller, only pad or mouse and keyboard, i played the entire of half life 2 in this way. it was still horrible, but i felt like i was in the future before everyone. oh good old times...
