I have the thorn and I love it... I have a beard so the viability that tiny head provides is great... I am a seasoned wet shaver and shave my head as well... The only thing that irritates me about the razor is why the heck is it reverse threaded??? Lefty tighty righty loosey.. It just irks me when I see such a well thought out design.. and then WTF??.

Im between the twig and the thorn. I prefer a close shave but im seeing some people say you should only get the thorn if you are experienced. Any input?

The thorn is our most aggressive single-edge model BUT it is not an overly aggressive razor in the landscape of safety razors, as we tend to design our stuff for accessibility to the widest audience. Personally, I prefer my thorn razor and I'm not particularly gifted or experienced in the art of shaving. I think you'd love it! Take a lighter hand to play when you get going as you get a feel for it's weight and balance. And use a good cushion of shave soap. And you'll be great! - Adam
