Tim, man, you made me misty-eyed for a moment. Sometimes the Spirit prompts and you have to go with it. So, here you are preaching the word in season and out of season... even in a Bible review. And that word, that we know how the story ends, is an encouragement in a rough world. I didn't know I needed to hear it this morning before I did.

Tim, I love that you kept that moment in. We never know when the Spirit will move us. It happened to me last week, for the first time ever, in a Christian Book Store while I was helping two separate families find a Bible. I got all emotional and had goosebumps all over. The man I was helping told his daughter…”pay attention this man has the Holy Spirt talking through him”. I praised Jesus for this moment.

Thanks for sharing, Tim. That's a beautiful Cambridge Bible. In June 1963 I purchased my first Pitt Minion, a KJV Bible in Waukegan, Ill. That bible has a Morocco Leather cover. Within the next three years it had travelled with me across the country, then from the west coast to Hawaii, Apra Harbor Guam, through the Marianas Islands to Japan, back to Guam then south to Rabaul, New Britain and west to Truk Atol in the Carolinas Islands. In addition we cruised to Hong Kong and south to Sydney, Australia and northeast to Pago Pago, Samoa. This past year I purchased another Pitt Minion with a split calfskin leather cover.

I love Pitt Minions and have four of them - NKJV, NIV, ESV, and NLT. Do you still have your KJV Pitt Minion? If so, I'd love to see it. I think Pitts are the perfect EDC Bible.

Yea Tim .. . So great you took an Evangelistic and encouragement moment. I think when we are talking about the bible style and materials we should always remember what the main thing is. And the main thing is THE WORD OF GOD!!! HIS Word to us. I loved you had that moment. I also think that bible reviews are a great place for us to pray for one another.

Tim, your videos are always so great. The best part was the 9:.00 to 10: 00 minute mark, God's perfect timing (on the video), speaking to you via the Holy Spirit and through you, to your audience. You spoke from your heart. I re-ran and watched that 1 minute 4 times so far. Beautiful! You exude God's love. You touched my heart and reminded me why I love Jesus and reading my Bibles. A cross reference Cambridge Diadem with 2k Denmark teamed up with Royal Youngblood with that leather. You cannot beat this. The only thing that would make this perfect is in a SCR with the references.

Thanks for showing the beautiful bible, but thanks even more for following the lead of the Holy Spirit and preaching to us. That was definitely the Holy Spirit. I felt Him. I have a prayer request. My long term employer has decided to get rid of employees that have the skill I was trained in and outsource now. I will be out of income and work soon. I don't have much retirement due to expensive health costs and I'm really old to find more work in my field. I need God's provision and comfort. I am very sad and I'm worried. Thanks Tim.

Great review, really liked your message to call people to faith and encouragement at the end! I read a similar encouragement from my Spurgeon devotional this morning, here’s a small part of it. The Christian knows no change with regard to God. He may be rich to-day and poor to-morrow; he may be sickly to-day and well to-morrow; he may be in happiness to-day, to-morrow he may be distressed-but there is no change with regard to his relationship to God. If he loved me yesterday, he loves me to-day. My unmoving mansion of rest is my blessed Lord.

Enjoyed this review. I think reading a few verses from each Bible you review would be a good way for people to get a feel for the translation being reviewed. The Topas editions are beautifully done.

When it comes to the Bible as a physical object, my blue KJV Topaz is easily my favorite. The best leather Bible smell too. LOVE it. And my second favorite may be the blue KJV Cameo. LOVE the Cambridge Bibles.
