Every electric pump I have ever used would run out in a couple hours, and die in a couple weeks. The manual floor pump lasts for as long as I have a heartbeat.

I wish eBikes with adjustable height seats were able to actually lower the seat to the height of a reasonably short adult. In shopping with my friend for her eBike, we went to many shops and only found 2 eBikes that could fit her. She's about 4' 11". It would be nice to see a review of your experience on this.

P.S., she ended up with the Magnum Pathfinder 500. The reflector on the seatpost had to be removed, the seat was lowered all the way down and she still has to wear tall soled shoes or slippers so she can barely touch the ground. She likes her new eBike though. 👍🤙

The adjuster seat post is a great addition. The TERRIBLE riding Geometry on the Lectric, is why I sold it. I had to jump off, or fall off dozens of times because in an attempt to get proper leg extension for peddling, my feet were to far from the ground for quick stops. Kudos to Heybike

I had the same problem with my Ecotric 20" fat tire. I got so fed up with the seating position that I bought a banana seat and mounted the rear on the softest ATV/dirt bike coil over shock absorber I could find on Amazon. It's still pretty stiff. I have a cargo rack on the back so I made a bracket for the shock that mounts on the rack. I suppose a sissy bar would work also. Now I can sit back farther and still reach the ground with my feet.

Hello Micah, I share your passion for electric bikes. I have been working on upgrading the original Lead Acid battery for my BL-36 Wilderness kit with NiMH D cells, your videos have been very useful for building my 36V battery. Once I am done with this, I'd like to upgrade to a 48V Li-Ion battery and a larger 48V controller. My third objective is to look into regenerative braking. Do you have any recommendations for regenerative braking? From my (very limited)) research, it would seem that these are not common, due to the use of DC motors for powering the bicycles. The other day, I finally found that 4mm hex key allen wrench that my son lost on the front lawn while putting together his bike two years ago. It lost a little bit of metal on the ends due to rust and pitting, but hey, I'll grind it down and it should work like new! No need to build your bikes anywhere else, but on the grass..

The headlamp brackets shown on their website look much better, and they're also fitted above the bottom yoke giving additional clearance at maximum fork travel. Unfortunately, in many of the photos on the website the headlamps appear to be set for aircraft spotting instead of lighting the road ahead.

I actually saw this bike a bunch when it first came out. I was caught but the overall design of the bike and you uploading this video pretty much confirmed my purchase of it. The bike will actually be arriving today so I'm pretty excited to finally have it! ps. just a general question, are fat tires more durable than normal tires? I plan on taking it on a lot of bike trails and I've had a few mountain tires pop on some pretty minor terrain. edit: I'm also gonna be using this as a daily commuter

I don't think they're technically any more durable in terms of the tire itself, but the larger air volume means you can run lower pressure without as much of a chance of pinch flats - so in that way they can prevent some flat tires. But they can be punctured by nails, glass and other debris just as easily.

I think this is a pretty interesting looking bike. The frame has a nice design and the color looks pretty good. I like the dark green color it has. I don't know if I'm a fan of that beefy looking motorcycle style headlight, though. However, I think it would had to be pretty bright for a light that big. In the last review I saw of this bike, I wondered if it had a tail light and this review answered my question. The red/blue flashing tail light might be an issue in most places. The last time I saw a tail light like that, it was on a police issue bicycle. I once asked a police officer riding a bike with one of those lights on it and she said that it's only for police use. I think as long as you use it to display a red light, it will be ok. As for the weight limit, I like that this bike is rugged enough to support a maximum weight of 400 pounds. As I'm a heavier rider (around 300 lbs), I'm glad to see that this allows heavier people to get into biking on an electric bike. I'm glad to see that this bike is a class 3 bike, but when it comes to the pedal sensor, I wonder if it's a cadence sensor or a torque sensor. As I come to find out, torque sensors allow the bike to become more responsive to you. That's one thing I wish I knew before buying the Aventon Aventure I currently have.

Nice video . Great bike you have . Here in the UK we can only have up to 250w motors to be legal . I have one and its ok but needs a bit more power . Even a throttle isn't legal here but I have one on mine . It was supplied with bike but not fitted. Enjoy your riding . Best wishes from the UK .

Maybe the ado a20f is something for you, the motor is stampt 250w but when you unlock it its 500w, and also a throttle and can go to 35 km, i have mine now for almost 9 mounths and it's my daily driver, i live in the nederlands.

We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. ru-vid.comUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!

If the seat tube of the bike is long enough, the seat post outside diameter matches the seat tube inside diameter and the dropper cable doesn't need a special hole in the seat tube. Make sure your handlebar has space to fit yet another lever.

Adding a battery is trivial electrically. It's dealing with the weight that can be daunting. I put a conversion kit together, took it out for a test ride, and the handling was so awful I parked it in my shop and it sat there for over a year while I ruminate over how the hell I was going to mount a heavy ass battery in a location that wouldn't completely destroy handling, wouldn't require extensive additional structure etc. Forget aerodynamic - this thing has the sleek profile of a refrigerator.
