I recently bought this same bag. I first bought the Sherlock Holmes bag in the Charlotte style because I thought it looked really classy, but also practical. Then I had to buy the Orangery in Charlotte, as well. I wish all their themes came in Charlotte!
I just bought this range in the mini grace! I have purchased three bags, however I have never received any of them in the beautiful box. They are in a cardboard packing box. I wonder why? I order from their site
I have an idea... You could go to a craft or hobby shop and buy two gold-tone rings (ones that open and close) and put them through the rings on the bag, then attach the wide strap to the rings.
I purchased the Orangery in the phone pouch it is so cute and compact. I had the same problem as you with the wide strap not fitting, I purchased the Surf shack Bella bag and the wide strap separately not realising it would not fit until after it was delivered, it was a waste of about $60 Australian. I had another look and they tell you the bag styles it doesn’t fit, I don’t think they make it clear enough. Luckily I had an old bicycle store bag in the same colour I’ve put the strap on, it doesn’t exactly match but it is the same colour.
I'm glad you like it as well but I'm sorry to hear you're having the same issue I have. Thank you for letting me know about the wide strap description. I shall look into it. I'm happy to hear you found a use for your strap as they are not cheap. I am glad I was able to find a good way to attach the wide strap to this Charlotte style at least. 🥰
@Adelia I did the same thing with the Botanist range (kind of). I bought the Taylor bag because I thought the size and dimensions would be perfect with the wide strap. But I didn't realize the Taylor bag doesn't have a detachable strap. My mistake, I should have paid closer attention. Maybe you could use your wide strap for something else? I'm using mine to as a strap for my lightweight bridge camera. 🙂
@@VulpineDani I’m using the strap with another Vendula bag it doesn’t match because it’s a different theme but the colour is the same. It’s a shame they didn’t make it clearer that the strap doesn’t fit every design because I’m sure lots of people have made the same expensive mistake.
I agree it should have been made more clear about the wide strap or they simply could use the round clip instead of the tear shaped one to fix the problem. I am fine with clipping it on the handle. It works well for the Charlotte.
