Does godox have warranty in the us ?

That's a great deal too. I have 2 of the manuals myself and they are certainly still a ridiculous value. Especially with the added flash and transmitter. Its hard to say whats better, I think the TTL deal is a more significant price drop, and I'd expect to see it again before the year has ended. You cannot do any upgrading, its either TTL or Manual and you are stuck with it. I have heard for a while now that a Fuji transmitter is close. It has even been listed on Adorama. I still haven't heard a solid date (nor have I heard about Olympus or Panasonic) though but hopefully its soon!

Everything Godox X series and Flashpoint R2 series is interchangeable and works together fully featured. It's the same thing with different lettering.

Lol. Yeah so many people have made that decision and I always said its smart. I just chose to try and get as much as my money to Godox as possible. The H600 thing really ticked me off though, that they essentially released an unfinished, unprotected product. Pair that with people being unable to contact them after purchasing directly, I can no longer justify making the purchase through them to anyone.

+Miguel Quintana not without additional equipment. You can put the ST-E3-RT on top of the R2 controller and have access to both off camera. Or you could put R2 receivers on the 600s. The ideal thing to do would be to lose the 600s and use the R2 Zoom TTLs (AA or Li-Ions) and then you'd have the functionality between speedlites and your Xplor without additional radio gear. Plus they are like 1/4 the cost of the Canon light.

+10 Thousand Pixels its the same unit for all brands, so one light will accept signals from Sony canon and Nikon.

+Jonathan Conde its more than enough to light portraits. I'd pair it with a 36" octabox or 48" if more people and you'll get great results. The Nikon version of the controller works flawlessly on the X-T2, but no TTL or HSS.

+dunnymonsterThere are so many rebrands; Flashpoint, cheetahlight, pixapro , neewer, atlas...yes they ALL work interchangeably. I have half and half Godox and flashpoint

Was the reflector within the Godox box or put together as a package from a third party. Also was it Godox mount or Bowens mount. Seems to be a lot of variance depending on where you buy from both seller and location

you don't have to change anything. Just make sure the firmware is up to date and it will accept the signal from any Xpro / X1.

I don't know your situation to make that call. I share plenty of reasons that they are great but ultimately you have to decide if they are a good fit for where you are at.

+karen kish You can still use manual function on the TTL model, the TTL version just adds the functionality of TTL, it doesn't take away manual.

Hey Christopher. The Nikon Flashpoint/Godox gear works 100% in manual. So you still have the same group control / power control on all the devices. There is no HSS or TTL. And lastly it will not work with electronic shutter, only the mechanical shutter. I wanted to do a video but the scope of what can be accomplished is summed up in just a couple sentences. I'm waiting on a Cactus trigger to try some HSS with the Fuji + AD600, I'll make a video and outline what Godox is currently capable of then!

I've had no problem with the umbrella mount. It takes 5 & 7 foot ones just fine. Last for years...remains to be seen I suppose.

I guess you could compare the AD200 or AD360ii. But they are both a bit different style of light though

Not labeled "Flashpoint" but sold by Adorama is the ORLIT Rover RT. It's similar to the Profoto B2, I bought it after I bought the ORLIT Rovelight 610. But now I'm selling all my ORLIT gear (as well as Einsteins) and switching to Flashpoint/Godox. Much happier with this new system.

+brianminkc Yongnuo is a completely different company. Godox has been around since the 90s, and is a distributor in China. Godox distributes to different companies around the world that rebrand their products, I could name 7 off the top of my head. Godox has nothing to do with Yongnuo in fact Godox and pretty much destroyed the relevancy of the current lineup from Yongnuo. If you've been perpetuating this belief as fact elsewhere around the internet, please stop because it's incorrect.

One more thing ... as for me it is bad to import on account of the fees. I would like to know if a godox accessory is in xplor and vice versa. For example, batteries, transmitter and receiver etc.

+Mariana Pekin hey, I'm not sure which would cost more to import. I know this is a big challenge for people who don't have access in their own country. I will say when I purchased the Godox AD600 from China, it came with the strobe, battery, Chinese charger, US power adapter, flash tube, plastic protector - and mine came with and X1 trigger but that was listed in the package. The Xplor 600 came with strobe, battery, US charger, flash tube, plastic protector, carrying case, case strap, reflector, reflector diffusion cap, and again, an R2 trigger that was selected in the package, but packaged separately.

Yes, you can use Godox accessories interchangeably with the flashpoint equivalent. This goes for EVERYTHING in the R2 / X1 series.

There are packages with and without just read the details of whatever you are purchasing.

You are very correct that first I advocated purchasing from Godox and now I am suggesting Flashpoint over them. That is because everything that came after purchasing from Godox has been disappointing. I think I am very clear as to why I did this. I have been a huge advocate since day 1 of being transparent about the product equivalents, that this equipment is "exactly the same". I've even fought against Flashpoint for initially posing as if they developed the system when they didn't. I will continue to uphold that. However, I have no paid affiliation with either (or any) brand, and only spread information that I feel helps working photographers like myself. There are critical reasons that I suggested Flashpoint over Godox for photographers. 1) A complete lack of support. When I purchased from Godox, I expected it to be a process to return any faulty items. What I didn't expect was for Godox to completely ignore those who chose to purchase their products. Just because they are in China, doesn't mean they don't have to back their failed products. We signed up for complicated support, not radio silence. Flashpoint instead offers support, warranty, and communication on the products. They are standing behind a product better than the actual developer. 2) Rushing and delayed products. The H600B was ON THE PACKAGE of the AD600B box as an available accessory. This wasn't even available for over 5 months after receiving the AD600B. The H600B was one of the key reasons I bought the product. Then, after the H600B came out, it wasn't even a complete product. It put users at massive risk of frying their light due to its lack of a locking plate. On top of that their bag design for the AD600 when using the H600B put the product at further risk of causing the head to come loose and cause a failure. Pair that with my previous point that one can't get a hold of Godox after potentially ruining their light, I'm obviously going to be disappointed. 3) Price - The Xplor (and other products such as the R2 Zoom Li-Ion TTL (V860II) and Streaklight 360 (AD360II) have been offered by Flashpoint and deeply discounted prices. The R2 Zoom Li-Ion has constantly been $30-50 cheaper through Flashpoint than anywhere else, and their sales go further than that. 4) Accessories. Flashpoint is bundling proper accessories with the product, including storage, US chargers, reflectors, etc. They are essentially filling the gap on Godox's unfinished product. All in all, I feel there are substantial reasons to buy from Flashpoint over Godox, that have the photographers best interest in mind. You say it's unethical yet I would find it unethical tomy audience if I didn't mention the above perks. I've never suggested that the actual lights involved are any different, and have very clearly stated from the beginning that the products are exactly the same. (I've answered the question "Will flashpoint and godox work together" correctly at least 200 times, never suggesting otherwise. There is however some clear differences when it comes to everything surrounding the product that needed to be mentioned, which is exactly what I did.
