I had a pair of these that lasted about 11 years they are still waterproof but the heel has worn away so if I'm on wet grass I tend to slip and the top of the foot area has started cracking so I replaced them with the new logo Aigles they are just so comfortable. As for Le Chameaus if you have fat calves and big wide feet then go for those ( notice how those with skinny legs always wear 2 pairs of socks with Le Chems) if you have thinner calves and narrower feet go for Aigles. I find they fit great and can walk for miles in them without getting fatigue.
Hello, thank you for commenting. Great to hear your last pair lasted 11 years. I hope my new ones last a long time and the quality is the same (unlike Hunters which went downhill!). Yes - I was also considering Le Chameaus but pleased I went for the Aigles as my calves aren't big.
I think you'll be fine my new Aigles feel the same as my older pair they just have the newer logo like yours I think mine lasted mostly because every month I cleaned them properly and sprayed them with a silicone polish either Aigle swipol or Armor All rubber protectant ( from Amazon or Halfords ) and never leave them near a radiator or out in the sun. As for Hunters they definitely aren't what they used to be since moving production to China , I don't think they are even made from rubber they seem to feel more like plastic and the sizes are made to use their boot socks then just normal socks sad really that they went downhill so quickly.
@@KaiDuncan Gosh, didn't even realise you could clean welly boots properly. Mine are constantly covered in mud, but I sometimes scrub the mud off with water and a stiff brush. Thank you - I'm going to buy a proper cleaner to look after them now :)
Over a year later now, how are these aigles holding up? After seeing this video a year ago I bought my own and love them, probably havn't worn them as much as you have but still so good to have for wet days!
Hello, thank you for commenting / asking. These welly boots have held up really well. I wore them last summer (ground was still muddy) then swear it’s been raining everyday for at least eight months now, so they have been well used. But still 100% waterproof and very comfortable.
Thank you, I love them :) I would say that it's always better to size up with welly boots so then you can wear thick socks etc. I am size 6.5 UK and bought size 7.
Hello, thanks for your comment. Sorry to hear your ones have already fallen apart... but mine are still lasting well - no damage and I have been wearing them a lot (raining all summer in the UK).
