Hi all. Karl (With a K) here, or "Karlos" as I was known in the team. Well, what an awesome video and thanks for the shout out! Was great to meet you guys and spend OVER AN HOUR(!) talking all things airsoft. I'm really happy everything went to collectors/enthusiasts whom are going to get good use out of it. Just to add, WASPS was "Wickham Airsoft Special Squad" and the team is actually still going all be it in a reduced capacity, so shout out to my old team mates. Thanks to everyone for the kind comments, and to the person whom suggested I should go play with C7Viper... I'd be up for it! :)
Karl with a K, I wish I would have be able to find your collection first, but CJ will definitely take great care of it. Only person I've ever seen who takes better care of their gear and airsoft guns better then I do. I'm OCD when it comes to my airsoft stuff. Hahaha
I am 53 yrs old. And I didn't get into airsoft until 2007. To see some really nice looking weapons from as far back as the late 90's is awesome. You guys scored big time. 2 thumbs up.
46-year-old Half-Brit here, picked up my first spring pistol (HFC Glock 17L) in Madrid (Spain) in 1996. It still works! (As much as it ever did...) I've built up a small but specialized Marui collection since and love every game I can attend.
Good to see the wasps getting some love overseas, they were/are the home team for my local site that unfortunately had to close. Everyone on the wasps are true gents. They helped keep that site the best in the UK as far as I'm concerned #cswforlife
Haha yea the nostalgia. I remember going to holy Jim’s / black star canyon airsofting with friends back in 2008 with our Ics, Tokyo Maruis and classic army’s
Oh man what a great haul. I've stop playing airsoft for over 8 years but still love watching video related to airsoft. Had 2 PTW back then. Great fun guns
c7, I am another old school airsoft player and tech. (I retired in 2012 - got 3 kids) You mentioned the Star L85 - I worked on 4-5 of those back in 2005/6? They are nightmare to work on. If you come across one (usually in pieces) because owner tried to replace piston. When disassembling one start in the morning and get yourself a couple of egg cartons to put all the pieces in order. It takes about an hour apart and 1.5 back together. There are a lot of little springs. Also caution on the Star m249 gear boxes (manufacturing date?). They were known for snapping off the front portion of the gearbox rail the piston slides on. The engineer who designed it was about 3/16th of a inch too short. So the piston would "torque" and snap a small part of the rail off. I believe Star fixed the issue in future releases. The solution was to increase head space on the piston and remove the second tooth on the piston. (Common place after 2008) So even with a broken gearbox rail it could still be used. In the early mid 2000's. Companies in Japan, Taiwan, and China saw what the US tech's were doing on the forums and started making pistons with the tooth removed. Adding a washer(s) behind the piston head increased the head space. Another fix was to add half a 5/8th(?) rubber grommet to the INSIDE of the cylinder. It was pressure fit and would not move. The grommet would increase head space without adding weight to the piston. (The dreaded v2 snapped front end gearbox....) From the shop I worked in I got a used broken Star 249 gearbox and put it in a demilled 1919a4. I built a lot of custom guns way back. I still have two Top M60's. One I scratch built a custom rear receiver, and dropped in a TM v3 gearbox. The other I chopped into Vietnam Seal M60 with upgraded piston cylinder head. I changed out many a Bellows in Top M249's and Top M60's. Cheers!
My man KARL!!! Thank you for supporting c7, and I am sorry you don't play airsoft anymore, but I have all respect for you, I hope you have a great day, and c7 thank you for the vidoe!
You know the TM tracer you just pulled out is probably one of the first ever tracer models from 1997/1998! First shown ever to the world in the Bill Murray film ,Lost in translation! TM did make light kits for airsoft and my first ever Airsoft was a Marui though she had no tracer with her ,still came with glow in the dark BBs, in a box that says “Glow in the dark”,not tracer! It’s from 1993/94’! Bought in Taipei Taiwan, where my beautiful Mother is from! My first TM was bought in the early 90’s when i was very young,8 or 9 and it was a full metal C02 Beretta m92 non bback! It was the first time ever seeing a plastic 6mm bb before! My little brother and I were playing a Street Fighter bootleg that had 10x more characters we’d ever seen before ,on a Sega1 ,when our 8 year old cousin pulled out that same c02 airsoft beretta and started dumping us! We’d only ever seen a metal.30 bb till then! We immediately had our parents take us to the coolest airsoft shop you can possibly imagine, right in the heart of Taipei ,where we both bought our first ever airsoft! During the beginning .12 were literally the only weight bb’s they had invented! After customs trouble and being searched for those Airsoft pistols and swords ,we were the first ever kids amongst our friends to ever own an Airsoft in the US! Nobody had ever seen anything that shot a plastic projectile since those cheap tiny bronze colored plastic springers ,on a card back that you could buy at a drug store for $2 with yellow rubber bbs you literally had to break off a rubber tree! Airsoft blew peoples minds back then! My mothers recalls the home we grew up in as BB infested after that! I’m sure the new owners are finding them still to this day! Sorry for the long story! Crisis
Thanks for sharing your story. It somehow reminded me of childhood :) very wholesome . Also, yes .12 gram bb's being the only ones available was definitely a thing in the 90's
God... I remember it was ICS, TM, CA, STAR, INOKATSU, ASG... Man, there was so many companies back in the 90's, early 2000's.. I started playing back in 1998. My 1st Airsoft Gun was the ICS MP5SD6 in full metal and the YnP FAMAS from Jungle Toys.
I played against WASPS a few times back in the early 2000’s one of their lads was definitely THE OG airsoft celebrity… Good ol’ Silvafox #yarrrmatey good bunch o’lads
Also, I believe WASPS was “Wickham Airsoft SPecial Squad” some wasp trivia… you’ve all seen that gif of a storm trooper dancing. That’s Dutch (i think it was Dutch) from WASPS. If you look closely you can see the yellow patch on his shoulder.
@@magaz 'Sup Mag, long time ago that was! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xL1rA_9wi7g.html WASP history...Yeah that was Dutch. Also there's Old Man Jay leaning on my car, and coincidentally enough in the background, Karls old green Subaru behind Dutchs RS Turbo. And there's Russsss' VW G40 as well. More like a retro car meet than a game day.
@@atarilandfill It feels like a lifetime ago, in some respects it was, while we were playing THE best urban site in history (Dragon Valley, Boys village) a lot of current players weren't even born! I sent C7 a link to that video over instagram last night, I still see people post that gif in groups on facebook and there's always "Nah this was a guy at a (insert random sub culture here) event in (random place around the world)" comments
Born in 1978, we used to play air soft with red rider BB guns and crossman pumpmaster 76s with two pumps. If you heard the enemy pump more than 2 pumps, you pumped 2 more pumps and it escalates from there till we yelled to shoot into the ground and start over with just two pumps.. no face shots because safety glasses weren’t a thing yet.
Oh I love the ptw!!! And the chips are a plus. Awsome collection Carol k great shape and well taken care of!! You couldn't have sold them off to a better guy!
C7 viper I appreciate the fact you read through your comments and respond no matter how big you get. I joined your team at maybe 1k or 4K around there. It’s crazy how rapid you grew but you’re still awesome and we keep coming back for more content because of you and mrs viper.
Any of Karlos stuff have any genuine Wickham dirt left in it? Also any rolled up Readers Wives magazines you find are probably mine. I still have video of us at the Fort, good times.
I have an MPL that works from green gas and AA batteries together. Was bough in early to mid 80's and still works! BTW zip lock are the same over here in the UK 😀
@@c7viper no worries. They are great guys. I'm probably friends with some of his team here. Always took their hits and they fought like great guys who shoot well. The guns were probably purchased from Combat South the shop. He's still looking for a site.
Woow you guys that was quite the haul today!! Sooo adventurous watching you 2 add pieces of airsoft history into you already massive airsoft collection!! Thanks for being my airsoft celebrity idol and teammate!! Much love & respect you 2! Enjoy your toys and also PS: ALEXIS I HOPE YOU REALLY ENJOY AND POST SOME GAMEPLAY WITH THE PINK PP2K I HELPED FINISH BUYING!!
Yes I remember when airsoft was a rarely played or organized hobby in my country canada.I remember playing with my 21 yr old son back when he was 6 years old
Mrs Viper! Nice bomb drop at the end of the vid 😂 and zip-loks are called Ty-wraps in the UK. Viper! Awesome collection pal, if only a certain lady hadn’t have snagged half of it it would have been Epic! 😂 who’d have thunk such a collection coming from the UK!?
You guys are so lucky to have such a collection I could only dream of a collection like that and that systema should be your new favourite gun it was beautiful
I like everything. Awesome addition to your collection. It would be awesome if Carl could play one more game with you and the team. Be safe and play on team mates.
HI Karl! I really enjoy the journey Mrs. c7viper has been on with playing airsoft, she looks/sounds like such an operator now. Rad haul boss, so many metal add-ons and body kits! but I gatta say the hula hoops win the show! #snacktical @13:47 #flashbang
Thank you for telling Alexa to turn the lights on and off 🙄 my Mrs was like wtf is going on as all the lights in the house went off then back on again 😂😂 top quality vid as always 👌
I absolutely love your content man! You are so respectful in the airsoft community and so entertaining to watch! Keep doing what you are doing because you are amazing!
So many things I've been searching for, i haven't saw a prime kit in a long time I found a full Guarder steel kit for my Hi Capa buts that's as close as I could get
Hey! You have a very cool collection, but it think that you could make it cooler with actual rare stuff. Old MGCs, tanio koba, and some marushin could take your collection to the next level- they may cost more than your average guns but i love my rare guns. I personally own 2 tanio koba VP-70s and they are the best guns ive bought.
So much awesome in 1 video. A sistema ptw is an amazing find. Was surprised seeing the packet of hula hoop crisps in america lol. And is it just me or did youtube finally allow ads on your channel or have i just not noticed before this video. If it is new congrats !
Yea so pretty much I live in slc ut and there is absolutely Noone that plays. I have found (and maybe bribed) 5 or 6 of my friends to get a gun and play. But I would forsure prefer small games because they have more stealth and skill involved
Hi mate great video as usual very entertaining, my personal favourite had to be the Tokyo marui mp5, or the marui Glock. Hope you manage to get the double shotgun from SS Airsoft it looked really cool, anyway thanks for taking the time to produce this video for our entertainment, keep up the good work, take care have fun and play hard, from a teammate across the pond.
Mr viper: look at all thease guns and gear we got! Mrs viper: look chips from the uk! 🤣 Y’all’s the best. This was a great haul, that mp7 is awesome I wanna grab one.
Hey guys keep up the good work. Wish I could have watched the live stream longer but sadly I had stuff to do. Love you guys. And all my teammates too ❤❤
