The paperwork arrived for this one and it'll be licensed Monday. Time for some road tests! The engine seems much smoother than any of the other Chinese bikes I've ridden. I think Patrick made the best choice for the money. I'm sure the Honda bike is much better quality but at twice the price, those Hondas are simply not worth the extra $. Though we do have an extra 200cc genuine Honda engine ready to go to work if the Chinese engine fails.

Where did you get your KP Mini? Is yours fuel injected?

Frosty! Lots of welding on the bottom metal pallet. The cage bolted together, at least there's some Chinese steel for other projects/repairs. Thanks!

Let it break-in before running synthetic oil though.

Jim I used to do it that way. Break in a new engine with conventional oil then switch to the full synthetic. Then I tried just running the full synthetic oil during the break in as well. It worked out great with less cam wear than before. Everyone said the rings wouldn't seat properly but they did. There were no problems with the rings seating with the synthetic oil. I did the Kart engines the same way and switched to the full synthetic for gas engines or ESTER/PAG oil for Methanol engines during the break in cycle with no issues.

Very cool! I think this one has the Keihin clone carburetor. It seemed to be jetted correctly for this area. Fuel injection would certainly be a cool option as long as it works properly. I wonder if they'll offer fuel injection repair parts? The carbs are pretty simple and about $25 to replace if Ethanol eats up the inside. I bet fuel injection would make more power though. Thanks!

@@KentuckyFriedFixes I’ve got the RPS Condor 150, I think 50mi so far, thing gets faster every time I ride it. GPS verified 58 mph so far, and it’s geared LOW, climbs hills off road like nothing.

The little 150cc engine seems like a smooth runner. Once the paperwork arrives and we get it licensed, Patrick is gonna do some road testing (and me too!). He did anticipate the gearing would be a bit low from prior experiences with the Chinese bikes. He bought a different front sprocket but we're waiting on the road testing before it gets installed. I think it's +2 teeth larger than the factory front sprocket.

@@KentuckyFriedFixes Assuming the tachometer is correct, my 150 is pulling 9,200rpm in 5th. Redline is 8,500, and it’s a OHV CG-based engine. So yeah, it just ordered a bigger front sprocket as well.

Those PZ27 carbs are a copy of the Keihn carburetors Honda used on many of their single cylinder bike engines. The copies are actually great little carbs once you get them tuned in. I'll probably do a video on those before too long as I'm getting a few emails about the PZ carbs. If I was looking into your problem, from the way it sounds, it's probably lean. Now that could be because of the idle jet or main jet size being a little small or it could be a needle adjustment issue. (If yours has an adjustable needle) Here's what I'd do: First check for any air leaks around the mounting flange. Use carb spray or brake cleaner and spray around the intake and carb mounting flanges while the engine is running to check for leaks. If you hear a definite change in RPM, you have an air leak. If you have an air leak (vacuum leak actually "air leak" is just a slang term) it must be sealed or the carburetor will not work properly (Add a new gasket or O-ring to solve the issue). If no air leak then you're ready to move on to the next step. Pull the spark plug and read it. Note the color of the plug, if it's white or extremely light brown with areas of white then the carb is too lean. You want to jet the carb so that the plug ends up a nice chocolate brown color, not black. Start with the idle jet then move on to the main jet. The idle jet controls low speed and idle, the main jet controls mid range and upper RPM. Your jet sizing will depend on the engine build and your altitude. As an example, I'm at 650' above sea level so here a PZ27 on a mild build engine combo works pretty good with a 25 idle jet and a 130 main jet with the needle adjustment centered. Most of the PZ Keihn clone carbs like the VM22 clone carbs come with a very small main jet out of the box. The last PZ27 I purchased had either a 95 or a 98 main jet. That's way too small unless you're riding on top Mount Everest. Remember to check the small stuff first, jet sizes, any vacuum leaks, float level, idle jet adjustment etc. It's probably something minor causing the issue.

@@KentuckyFriedFixes yeah ive been minibikimg for a very long time i know alot but i dont know how to find top dead center or put an arc billet rod im sure alot of ppl struggle with those two as its the most difficult..

Hi Angel! My son received the Certificate of Title for this one in the mail just a few days after the bike was delivered. No issues at all with the registration and licencing.
