Unboxing and breaking in the Neotec NH843 chainsaw

HI all and welcome back to another video and on this one, we are breaking in a brand new Neotec NH843 chainsaw.
So i unbox and talk about what is in the box in regards to parts and accessories, i also get it fueled and oiled up and take it out to the wood lot to get it broken in. What do i mean by broken in, basically it means to run a number of tanks of fuel through and allow parts to become bedded in and allow the saw to be used at full functionality there after.
The Neotec NH843 is the direct clone of a Husqvarna 543XP, im normally a Stihl guy but this saw is nice and light and perfect for the firewood goer. I hope you guys like the saw being used too.

Good review. They’ll tune weird until you cut the strato port out of the gasket. I have a how to on my channel. You’ll like the saw much better. They do really well.

it's always exciting to get a new chainsaw. Doesn't matter if it's a Stihl, Husky, or Chinese knock off. Just make sure you use premium fuel and take the nasty ethanol out.

Hey buddy and thanks for commenting. Yes your very right about the crappy fuel of todays era, 10% Ethanol is killing the job in small engines and the like. All in the name of saving some pennies somewhere. Thing is, not many fuel stations have E5 or even pure petrol anymore. Driving us out. Thanks again buddy 👍

No power, slow rev. They are tuned over rich out of the box to ensure they start easy and don't burn up right away. After break in period, remove the carb, cut the gasket to open up the air ports, reassemble and tune. Then it'll be a good saw.

@@everydaywithmenickI heard they blocked off the strato port with the gasket because of copyright issues. Either way it does give you more power

Run them at 45:1 and tune for a head temp that doesn’t go over 350 degrees F in a heavy cut for bucking 290-320F for milling. Yet to blow up a clone at those temps either ported or stock.

Thank you for commenting buddy, i have given the saw back to the customer now and he has ran it quite nicely now. I think he runs it at 50:1 however. Thanks again 👍

Yeah the husqy 543xp clone is what the website stated. Not a bad little thing tbh.

My clutch was squealing by the 2nd tank, the drum was warped. They refuse to returned your email until after your warranty is expired. The pull start engagement arm bent and destroyed the pull starter, their site says free shipment but the $6 part adds $15 for shipping and you cannot remove it. I'll never buy another one of these things again.

Yes so i have heard many things about the aftersales and warranty or lack of on these saws, it has done a good little job but i wouldnt be buying these as my first saw. I have no idea what i would do if this saw was to break but i would replace with oem parts.

@@everydaywithmenick couldn’t take the down time anymore, spent $400 on an Echo with a 5 year warranty and not a single problem to date.

Hi Brian and thank you for commenting, the carb was at factory default which is about 2.5 times out from fully in. Then i turned it in high nearly half a turn. Im only tuning the high setting whilst the saw is at full revs. Hope this makes sense. Thank you again 👍

@rayettaforbes1068 hi and thank you for commenting. Also thank you for your concern on my dogs. These dogs are of working breed and have been around machinery and tools for all their lives and are very familiar with their boundaries. If I say move from the area they know. But thank you for your concern, you will see them a lot in my videos, they're my woodyard buddies.
