I have this model and have used it hard over the past few years. Pros: Super reliable, always starts right up. Self propel feature works great. Cons: Seems to go through gas quick. If grass is even just slightly damp it will clog up quickly. Overall a good mower for dry grass. I'm not proud of this but I purposefully was rough on the machine with lack of maintenance and cutting tall and tough grass and it still runs strong. I'm treating it better now and expect it to last for a long while. Just sharpened the blade, changed the oil and air filter.
Thanks for the review! I bought one off of Amazon. I got tired of my powersmart mowers. Don't ever buy a powersmart. I went through 3 of them within several months of use in the last 2 years. You have a very nice house and yard. Hope one day my life will venture into something like that. I HIT that like button!
My 1990 Craftsman Eager-1 4 HP 22 inch FWD lawn mower is still running GOOD. Usually starts on first pull & has had only one pro service in all it`s years. I do change the oil at beginning of each new season, & wire brush the spark plug & clean or change the air filter at this time as well. She only gets ethanol-free fuel & the occasional dolip of Marvel`s Miracle Oil. FWD is my only choice for my FLAT lawns & wouldn`t consider a RWD machine when this venerable old donkey finally gives it up. It might just 'outlast' me !
Awesome review video. Are you also interested in talking something about outdoor power equipment maintenance and repair? Maybe we could collaborate to share some tips on the repair of these equipment?
I have this mower and was just wondering if anyone knows the cutting heights. Trying to find a happy medium where the grass isn’t too short or too tall
push mowers aren't rated by horsepower anymore. they're rated by engine displacement (cc) just like motorcycles. he said this mower is 159cc which is more than enough power for the lawn he just mowed. A cheaper 125cc engine would have handled his lawn just fine.
