Fantastic stuff, gentlemen. To this day, you are still the most influential band I have ever encountered and will always hold that favorite spot in my heart. Looking forward to purchasing these!
Somehow I missed that the CDs have both the new and old mixes - gonna have to get those too now (in addition to the colored/splatter vinyl)! Rock on, and can't wait for the next batch of reissues! :)
I got all the limited coloured vinyls. Since you are my favorite band, i wanted to get the special versions. For when, the release of the other albums?
Hmm, might sound stupid... but how do I identify the original and the remastered CD? E.g. at 2:23 Battalions of Fear. From my hearing impression the one with the original artwork (left hand from Marcus POV) is the original one, well and the other one the remastered... but there is no clear label on the CD itself... I have the same issue with all of them ReRelases (SFB, NFIM, etc)... anyone help me?
Does remixed means "new mix with new recording" or "new mix with the old tracks (somehow still kept in good condition from this far old time I was just a child)" ?
Remixes don't sound good to me,they did the same thing iced earth did, took out all the raw sounds that gave each album a personalty,I own all the original pressings and I've listened to the new remasters/remixes,there is no personality. If you want a good example, listen to battalions of fear next to the remixed version
