Unboxing ~ Benchmade Mini Osborne (Carbon Fiber 945-2) 

I overlooked the 940 for so many years. Finally grabbed a 940-2 at bass pro about 3 months ago as a last minute purchase and it was a very nice knife. It now has rockscale ti critter scales and lynch clip on it and I LOVE it. I see what the hype is about fully

Never intended to be a collector, not made of money and not a super fan of mini's, but, I absolutely love the 940 and just had to have this!!!!!!! And WOW!!!!!!!!!!! It exceeds,and went well, well beyond my expectations!!!!! So, so glad I am the proud owner of one!!!!!! Benchmade really nocked it out of the park on this one!!!!!!! Just wow!!!!!

Seeing that spyderco, is kinda like a turd in the punch bowl situation 😳🤔! 😆 🤣 😂!

I recently bought the Osborne 945-2 w/carbon fiber handle. I have to say, upon watching another reviewer feature this knife, I was excited to purchase it. I have the 940 w/green anodized aluminum, as well, and prefer that over the 945-2. I find the handle a little on the small side (I usually prefer a longer handle because of my larger hands). However, the S90V and carbon fiber make this knife top-notch. Just wish I’d gone with the full size 940 w/carbon fiber handle. Maybe the 945-2 will grow on me.

They all look great. I never leave the house without my Mini Os in the 5th pocket

Those gold class are always wild! I like the Osborne, but was out of my price range when I first found Benchmade.

I can understand why you have carried the 940 for over 20 years (did realize it is now more than two decades old), and the blade tip design is very useful. I also wish Benchmade would've used the darker stonewash normally on the S90v of the 940=1. if I could change anything about the 940 it would be another blade grind or stock offering--either a hollow grind or a thinner blade stock thickness. I’ve had the BHQ exclusive full size 940 with the jade g10 and M4 but sold it because I couldn’t warm up to it. I’ve been thinking about giving it another try but with the 940-1 since I love cf…..but the price is stopping me. I have xxl size hands so the 945s are out for me. Looks nice though. Always thought a lot of the mini knives are a solution looking for a problem. I always enjoy your videos Zach.

Hi Zac. Great set of Osborne mate plus excellent comparison knives too. Always see the Griptilian as the cousin of the Osborne. They're both the grail knife that hopefully be in the collection of users. Top vid cobber. Cheers from Christmas Island & Australia.

I have not been a big Osborne fan, I have a 940 in Aluminum scales its not my favorite. But I am warming up to the Mini's. I like the look of this and may just have to snag one.

Love my 940-2. That murdered out one with the blue accents looks awesome! Kinda wish they'd stop pairing CF with the S90V, it looks kinda cheesy IMO. But I get it, they're both premium materials. Just buy two and swap scales 😅💸Thanks for showcasing these, Zach! 👊✌

Love my 940-1. I just can't get my mits behind the minis.

You know I love the 940/945 but this one is a pass for me. Maybe if they had done green standoffs or another color I'd consider it. The only CF version I have is the 1601. My current 945s are usually part of the EDC short list and I carry them often so I'll be waiting for the next iteration. Ahhhh that gold class is perty but out of my price range.

Do they use the same size omega springs as the 940?
