But I agree...the wifi is just not needed and probably isn't worth even fooling with. Great review by the way!

from what I've read, it takes average of 1-2 amps per hour to maintain temp, so that is the compressor coming on occasionally. not sure how much it pulls when the compressor runs. I takes about 12-15 mins for it to go from ambient temp to the settings I gave it. I think that is pretty quick myself. I'll try to time a bottle of water, but sort of hate to let all the cool air out of it now that I'm on the road

Wandering Step Van Thanks for the info that’s what I was thinking the power consumption was. I don’t blame you for not wanting to turn it off full of food, I would not shut my house fridge off either lol. That cooled down faster then my house fridge! I look forward to the next review.

Low battery cutoff is a normal, yet extremely important feature of many 12/24v fridges. He talks about this in the video.

I think I did the steps correctly and selecting the fridge wifi as my network during the setup. just never worked except the first time

I didn't really think about the tea house in regards to the fridge given Im only planning on having water, tea and honey. the fridge is mostly for my personal use and planning on hiding it in a cabinet. yes, will be easier when I get solar setup done

Hello. Thank you for a great revew. I am totally blind. I just moved into a small unit. I'm using voice over on my iPod touch. I needed a good fridge/freezer. A lot of them have controls that are not very accessable to blind people.I am also into off grid power and ham radio.My callsign is VK3HPD if your interested. I bought the CFX95DZW because I have to use the wifi app with voice over to control the fridge. It connected furst time, every time. I've also been given a warning from a friend here that if we keep getting the hot weather then we could have roling blackouts. In a grid down situation, it will be good to keep the fridge going. I have some sola, but I have to get batteries. I can have it set up so that it runs on the grid but is also connected to DC at the same time, so that if the grid goes down, I don't have to do anything. It just keeps going. It also tells me the battery voltage in the app as well, and if it's running on AC or DC. I don;'t even have a full size house fridge. I got the CFX95DZW in stead.

perhaps. I tried for over 20 mins turning it on and off and doing the startup configuration. only got it to work one time

Now you have the the fridge,u should check out the hot logic mini .its like a slow cooker.i use it in my semi.there is u tube videos on them check it very low voltage and dont burn things.

That particular one, is available on eBay for around $1300.00, depending who you buy it from!

That's the rated current, not the consumption. You would never use that amount of power even at max. compressor setting. Remember also that the compressor only cycles a few times an hour depending on the outside temp.
