What people have to remember is that the Jordan 11s - and even more so the AF1s, Jordan 1s and so many classic silhouettes - have been made by contract manufacturers throughout Asia for 20+ years. Literally, well over 1 million people have been involved closely in their manufacture and distribution over the years - this is hardly a secure supply chain. This includes component suppliers as well as the final assemblers. There is a LOT of expertise floating around out there: plenty of retired individuals with skills who can be encouraged to join a small start-up plant. There are a lot of blueprint design specs that have been copied. So have a lot of moulds. There are a lot of discarded CNC machines that have been salvaged and upgraded (and even then you can work around them). Many people know the key suppliers. Put it all together, and it is not that hard to assemble a team to quickly, cost effectively and accurately duplicate the real thing with astounding accuracy...and this is not even including the "real" pairs that fail final QC checks, or the factories that get orders for 80,000 pairs but actually make 100,000 etc.
Doesn’t make it real though, you may get as close as 95% but that 5% will stick at the back of your mind. Secondly, you’ll always fail the question test because you can lie to someone but you can’t lie to yourself. If they were that close, they would’ve sold it to StockX or Goat
@@lolmaorofl even shoes sold through foot sites and in store can have imperfections but because its sold in store mean ita real? Because you pay double cost, it's real? Because you paid resell, it's real? I'm just trying to understand because his comment is right.
@@lolmaorofl , how does StockX know Exactly??? Just cause they told the world they were professional authenticators, it doesn't mean they are. I have not seen any degrees or college courses for authenticity of products!!! I only trust myself!! StockX and Goat built a billion dollar business of word of mouth and ppl trusting ppl that they've never seen or know....
@KIX_LOVE because in America you get arrested for hacks like that, but the rich don't get caught for all the dirt they do. America is janky. They gettin these shoes the same way damn near and cheap as hell but they taxin our ass.
Wow you could literally just wear the shoes to lose the factory smell and make it look like its legit. I don’t blame people for buying fake shoes especially with their resell value, but selling them as authentic is a different story and straight up scam.
@@Jonathan-gz1cp buying reps to sell as real is fucked up and people should get in trouble for that. But if you buy reps because you want to wear/beat pairs that you dont want to pay resell for I think its fine
Man I ordered some Jubilees from eBay since many saying the authenticity service better than any rn and I’m nervous now cause I’m new too shoes so idk how to tell if they fake
I hate to say it (being a sneakerhead myself) but with the way brands goes about their extremely limited releases (Looking at you Nike Snkrs app), crappy website that won't work at release (Footlockers), and bots/resellers ruining it for everyone, these UA will be more and more acceptable for those who actually want to wear their sneakers. I mean if I'm just going to make contact with dirt and pavement do I want to keep going through the frustration of copping L's? Or paying double or triple the price and not wanting to wear the shoes on account of losing the dough? I know I know it's part of the game. But as long as these UA are for personal consumption and not for scamming others, I would give you the nod of approval for being smart with your money.
People buy UAs because they want to rock something hype without paying too much for them. But no matter how many times people say they are the same, they aren’t whether it’s 40-5% difference. If you don’t care about the difference big or small, it shows you don’t care about the sneaker.
@@lolmaorofl That is true of course..but when you look at the quality control of some of the hype releases, say the fire red 4s of most recent, and most of the AJ1 mids and lows, you have to wonder whether some of those pairs can be lumped into the UA category on accounts of how bad some of those pairs are. I have in hand a pair of AJ1 low reverse bred, and there are lumps on the McDonald's quality leather on the left shoe toebox. It's not too big a deal as I'll be wearing them, but it certainly blurs the line between the real deal and UA.
I recently got scammed by a close friend's "plug." shoe material is great looks pretty damn good but the toe box was wonky. He sold it to me for a too good to be true resale price...after getting into the rep game I see that i straight got scammed. Rep game has changed the way I look at shoes. I dont care about whats real or not anymore if i could obtain a shoe i really like to wear it I'll spend my money how I wanna spend it.
At this point the difference between fake and real pairs are just who made money off them because they seem to be the same materials made from the same molds even seemingly at the same factories
It would be awesome if you can do an undercover report on how fake shoes are made n put in the market but probably dangerous during these times. Now wondering if those copies comes with an actual air bag too
There's ni difference between these and retail. At the end of day they all come from same place same people. The only stigma that UAs have is that scum bag ppl try to sell as retail. Which is wrong . I don't knock on ppl that wear UAs. Each they own. Hopefully UAs destroy resale game
If there’s no difference why is there so many fake vs real videos here on RU-vid? Do some slip by checks? Sure. But there’s always a way to tell, and guess what. People who rock UAs know the mistakes better than people who rock reals
@@lolmaorofl When I tell ppl "there's no difference" what I mean is that when you put most of the quality reps next to retail and you showing 1000 ppl and ask them to spot differences, 99% won't be able to tell. If that's the case why tf would I ever buy a Jordan 1 Union LA for $2000 to just put on my feet once a month?? It makes ZERO sense. Always buy retail FIRST. Once those have run out Nike has there money. Unless you can find a pair close to retail buy a rep. I'm sick of these resell prices. Stop paying them and they become irrelevant.
@@rsxfreak03 people want authentic products that are limited runs. Supreme, Rolex, any top tier brand is going to be faked b/c of how much the products make in the resell market but that doesn’t mean people shouldn’t resell. It also doesn’t mean buyers should resort to fakes simply b/c YOU think they shouldn’t spend their money on authentic products.
@GzDatguy ummmm. I’ve been to other countries...I have family in MX. Generally speaking, people are the same everywhere. People want products that are exclusive and are willing to pay top dollar. You say it’s an American but look at the royal families in the Middle East and those that Iive in Dubai. They are big spenders. It’s similar to diamonds. Supply and demand determines the price. Sure you could buy a lab created diamond which uses all the same materials as a regular Diamond and is much cheaper but most people would rather have the real thing. Typically if you have the money you want the real thing. Sure you can get fake stuff and pass it off as real but you’ll know you’re a fake or someone that knows better will call you out.
@@johnnyt3707 Read my comment again. At no point did I say anyone else. I said this is what I do. Would I suggest the same for others? Sure, and I gave my reasons why. Stop making this more difficult than it needs to be.
You know they’re good fakes when a pro shoetuber can’t tell the difference 😕 Now I’m worried about the pair I bought from ebay when they shock dropped..
Not true. For some reason the glue they use in reps smells really bad. It’s a foul chemical smell. It’s like they found the cheapest glue to bind materials but it smells toxic
Oh yeah and for the smell...😐 I grew up in a family of painters , and paint, glue, and silicone all have a different/stronger smell when it's new and fresh. Shoes at retailers have been sitting in warehouses or cargo containers for months before you get them... Trust me I drive truck in and out the ports and have seen shipment get lost for 3,4,5 months and then found, Wich they then call restocks 👍🏽
Yoooo it's crazy no matter what site you go to the message always starts off with "hello friend". The funny thing is I catch myself starting my DMs saying Hello friend. I guess I'm on code, my pair was 160 shipped.
Of course it's not 1:1.... Retails aren't 1:1 to each other. There is no such thing as "Real" or "Fake", just American Retail and Other. Yes it looks and feels like the so called "Real" because it's a real physical shoe made from real material you can touch and wear. I was that person paying $100s over Retail, and sometimes even for a cheaper, worse constructed product and then stressing all day knowing there's 99% identical shoe out there circulating for $100s less, that I may have just over payed for. I do still go after SNKRS drops and if I hit 🔥👌🏽 but if I don't I'm never padding another Bot Owners pocket again and/or spending unnecessary crazy money on something I can have Express shipped to my house for cheaper.
@TheMrCaptainStfu All retail pairs not the same and same goes for reps. Every early pair I got had same toe box as retail pair only difference was box and cushion around ankle thicker on 1 of reps.
My buddy copped a pair and his box doesn’t open like that. It’s the same design but on a regular box not the two sliced design like mine. I was able to get a pair from the early SNKRS drop. Did he get a fake pair?
That smell is crazy basically if you know you know 😂😂😂. If you do see this comment would you mind sharing the model of the mic your using. I’m looking for a better one. Thank you
The 23 on the heel doesn’t look like the embossed metal numbers on the authentic and it looks like the letters on the eyelets are placed lower than on the authentic ones. Did you test it under a blue light? Sometimes you can see a stamp on fake ones. But yeah, I noticed two subtle differences.
Yes, but one is designed with the exact specification of Nike’s designer and the other is a dude sourcing look alike materials to copy the reals. Is it gonna be 100%? Hell no. So are you really wearing a Jordan shoe?
@@lolmaorofl are you really eating cheese if it’s a cheap knock off brand or craft singles cheese for a higher price?? To me it doesn’t matter it’s a shoes that’s made to be worn but I’m not gonna pay over a few hundred over stupid resale, just to not crease a pair of Jordan’s lol. To each is own, Honestly. People get to up tight about the least important things in life. If I can get a pair at retail cool and if can’t, screw it I’ll beat the tread and seams off a Rep.
They charge higher to people outside China as they think we are all rich Americans or Europeans. There is sites that cater to people inside China and there is companies that will order from them and then ship them to you and you can get the 11s that same quality for about 30 or 40 dollars plus shipping
I'm blown away at the accuracy of the fakes. I ended up buying 4 pair to match my authentic ones and from a distance you can't tell a difference. So I keep the real ones on lock and just wear the fakes out. I would never try and sell the fakes as real ones.
I bought my sneakers from flightclub, their customers service Is really good but when I got them, I immediately did a legit check using legit RU-vid sneaker channels as reference. Although I’m aware of factory fuck-ups but that still won’t change the fact that they didn’t realize the potential red flag before sending it to me. I noticed that my size 11 pair had an issue, one was longer than the other despite being the same size, the patent leather cut was just as questionable, one side was longer than the other as well. The soles looked a little too yellow than the normal Ds pair and the pods were a gray color definitely close to the lighter shade of gray.the weird part is that the scent on the inside smelt like it came from footlocker and the quality on the box was really sturdy which confuses everything. the shoes are way too skeptical for me to pass as legit oh and on one shoe, the midsole had that pattern but on the other one it looked completely faded despite it being new. These are things that Flight Club should have noticed when they “Verified” the shoes. They did a poor job and I definitely plan to get them to exchange them for a real pair that is undoubtedly legit with the original receipt it came with or I will get my money back. Flight club really let me down with this one and they supposed to be the pioneers of the sneaker game with nothing but the best to offer, completely legit sneakers. I’m almost certain that if they never merged with goat, the possibility of my sneakers being real would have been higher
Im almost 100% definite i got a fake pair from FlightClub, but i cut the Authenticity tag off so nothing i can do. Didn't see or know about these videos till after.
Why are they fake just because they dont come from an authorized retailer? Third party sells real ones all the time. Interested to know who you bought from. Because some of them do sell the real ones
I just got screwed over by GOAT. The description said “new” Jordan 4 cool greys and I got an old beat up used pair. And they’re saying I’m only getting a credit not a refund. You got these from StockX??? Or did u just throw shade I’m confused
lmao @ you trying to convince that these shoes are fake. they're the same thing lol. ill let you fools keep paying retail while i wear these. been wearing ua shoes for 2 years n never got called out. so keep trying to convince people that these are "fakes" while u waste money on the "same" shoe. oh and all those shoes are made in china regardless what part of china
Here is my take on "fakes". If you're a collector, not a reseller because FUCK THOSE GUYS, but a collector always go legit...obviously. If you're a shoe enthusiast, like myself, always FIRST go to retail. If you can't hit there try to find a local seller who isn't trying to burn your pocket book. Avoid resellers at all cost. If this fails, have ZERO shame going with a UA. They're so close to identical that even upon close inspection, without another pair to compare them to noone will ever see a difference. Now, this isn't the case for every UA, so do your homework. I hit on the shock drop with these. They haven't even touched my feet yet. The 11s are my all time favorite sneaker. If I don't hit for the wife and son on the 12th I'm going with UA for them. Simple as that. They know it and don't care. My wife and son have broken necks with UA pairs.
The jumpman on the sole is different and the front lace eyelet is longer on the J. I have the retail pair and although these are pretty close, I can spot very few differences.
Just received a pair of fake jubilees and they didn't even try. Box wasn't a bifold AND said it was made in Vietnam, really? Stock x authenticator tag came in the box with a pair of "nike" socks with the all the writing in Asian characters. Lastly the shoe, besides the weight of the shoe (really light but these were the 1st pair of 11s) and the bottom of the shoe. I could hardly see the jump man behind the "milky" sole. The manufacturers are getting better every time and it's a joke
I have never smelled that fake stink. The only fufu I ever bought was TS1s from China for educational purposes and they had no smell, so thank god for that smell.
The only real shoes are from the stores resale store do not count why because no way prove it, think about bages for example you can but from reseller and you have prof that it is real.
The fakes have lose nylons at the side panels. Not well padded like the originals. But I must say, they’re doing a much better job copying the originals these days!
I’ve bought fake raptor 4s before and I messaged the guy and he said “I gave you a chance to check them out you the one that agreed to buy them” and he said “I needed the money for my sons birthday” don’t trust anyone..
Im still able to tell it's fake this isn't the first ua video I've watched, Every jordan 11 rep has that strong V shape on the patent leather that's impossible to miss, You guys just need new methods to legit check em
It’s always fun to see how they actually look in person actually shocking more than fun! But usually these videos get a little bit of traction which is in my opinion helpful for those people that don’t know that there are fakes that are really high-quality on the market.
