VelveetaMiyagi sent over a System Sensor SPSCW ceiling mount white speaker strobe and red fire and security sent in a Cranford Controls Vantage 32-tone sounder beacon, my first-ever UK fire alarm! Very generous of that subscriber. That SPSCW is exactly what my high school has! (With some SPCW remote speakers, SPSR wall mount speaker Strobes in red and SPSCWL's in mainly redone rooms. Also some waterproof K varients of the wall mount and ceiling mount too) They are hooked to a Notifier NFS-2-3030 panel. The Tone is a very low pitched (lower than low frequency Sounders.) Code 3 with no voice evac. Not sure why TBH but that's a trend with speaker systems in general at my school district.

I heard of this coming! That Vantage sounder is one of many types. From white to red, to white with blue strobes, this is the more typical strobe version. Non strobe versions are more common. I know this as my country has them. Although not European, they are on the market. These are fantastic devices as they are simple and effective. A company named "Ampac" sells these here where I am, yet they are made by Cranford Controls. They made a similar device named the "Viper", which I currently own. It is the exact same, with a slight body change. Its simply awesome you received this. I hope you will be able to configure this onto a system test soon!

The elementary school I graduated from 2 days ago has these System Sensor SPSCWs and Spectralert Advance Ceiling Mount Alert strobes around the building

The Cranford Combi is a 2 or 3 wire device. The common positive terminal serves both negative terminals. The middle negative terminal is for the variable tones set by the switches, the other is a simple continuous tone no matter what the switches are set to. It is a good quality sounder over here in the UK.

The Cranford Vantage sounder beacon is used mostly on conventional system in the UK great sounder beacon so it can’t wait to see your tone video on it

i knew the mounting bracket was a system sensor. btw ive seen that uk alarm in the background of some of teachertommyt's vids. ive always wondered what it was.

For the base you are meant to twist the base : left to unlock right to lock you will see some small notches on the top and bottom of it and that’s what it alignes with

Most fire alarms here in the UK do have 32 tones however only a couple of them are actually BS standard tones that are allowed on a fire alarm system. Most Sounders can be used in different situations hence the other tones.

S.E.R Safety i thought of a crazy thought. if you test it by the button the Buzzer and the button will work but if you don't test it by the Sensor, you never know if the sensor will work or not if you are testing the Smoke alarm by the button. Everyone Make sure You test your Smoke alarm by the Sensor by Using can of smoke.
