When I was in elementary school, I used windows 7 and xp on school computers But, I've recently installed windows Vista on my PC and it's FANTASTIC and so beautiful !! I I have no issues with it 😄😃
i have a windows 7 laptop but heres the issue. The laptop is from Dell and it uses Inspiron.. though my Vista pc runs good but the computer im gonna downgrade soon.
Nostalgic moments of childhood... I mean it was my last year of childhood because Windows Vista was my 10th birthday gift but now I'm currently 20 using windows 10. I know that not everyone have enjoyed the OS as other people did, notice that some people grew up with Windows XP + Vista or only with 2, 3 or 4 OSes. PD: Yes, my Windows Vista gift was home premium as you can guess, it was already installed on my notebook/laptop about years ago.
Very nice video! I like Windows Vista's retail packaging design. It's really nice and small (comparing to Windows XP's really big packaging) and really user-friendly.

I genuinely do miss the Aero glass design language that Vista and 7 had. Windows design has really gone downhill since 8 imho, though I will say that Windows 11's Mica is an improvement over the flat and bland designs introduced with 8.
Fun fact about the Upgrade copies of Vista. You can't actually upgrade from Windows 2000 to Vista, as you have to do a clean install. The reason that it says "For use with Windows 2000 Professional" is because you are still eligible for an upgrade license. e.g. Businesses running Windows 2000 Professional have the ability to legally buy an Upgrade copy of Vista. But, to actually use it, they would also have to buy XP first.
Unlike most I loved Windows Vista. It was so new and beatiful, and customizable like no other. With Windows 11 MS finally has embarked a new route away from the horrible and messy Windows 8 and 10.
Nice :) People like to hate vista cause hardware was behind software development at the time, but vista runs great if you got a quad core and a good gpu. The gui is even nicer than 7 too. Ive used wverything from msdos/windows 1.0 to 11 and have to say vista is among rhe top 5 eindows systems ever designed.
What ever people said about vista, at least this is the first windows that the installation using a mouse-based GUI that makes it much easier. And basically the UI that used for installation still the same till now at least the initial configuration
My brother just found the (damaged) Windows Vista Starter DVD and a rare Windows Vista OEM preinstallation kit DVD in my cousin's old house on 2018, anyways nice video :D

Hey, i also have the exact same Dell laptop, i recently installed Windows 10 on it and it runs okay. (Except for the slow boot time) It originally had Windows Vista on it and i wanted to dual boot windows vista with 10 installed, but first i have to find a really good ISO that wouldn't break the installation process.
My mother-in-law is currently using a D6 30 that I rebuilt for her and loaded windows 10 on it. I will say that you do need to spec up the hardware in order for Windows 10 to run well on a D630. I added Bluetooth to hers, upgraded the Wi-Fi card to draft and, went with a solid-state drive, 8 GB of DDR two 800 MHz PC two 6400 ram. an upgraded the processor to an Intel core to duo T7 500. Runs like a champ.
I don't know if I'd wanna use Vista. I heard a lot of tales about how many problems it had after its release. Might give it a go in a Virtual Machine to try it out and see for myself what it's like.

Windows Vista was ahead of its time. It ran s**t because computers of the time barely had the specification for running Aero. The niggles with Vista were all fixed by Vista SP2 and by then the hardware also caught up. I ran Vista until 2012 and Windows 7 until 2016 and I loved those OS. I liked Windows 10 initially, but it slowly became a spyware. I hate Windows 11, even worse than Windows 10, so I got Linux installed.
I hate Windows 11.... so much so that I installed Retrobar and use the Windows Vista theme. Looks just like it did when I had Vista back in the day... I just wish I had the window buttons and the beautiful look of Explorer from Vista.... Vista was truly in a league of it's own... it was the prettiest version of Windows they ever made and I doubt they will ever come close to making a beautiful OS style or look like Aero was for Vista and 7... Aero was so ahead of it's time too...
I'm using Windows Vista 64 bit on Windows 11,. My laptop came with 8 gb ram, but I’m getting 16 gb ram for my laptop for christmas, so I can use Windows Vista 64 bit with 8 gb ram on Windows 11 with 16 gb ram.
RTM or SP1 are bad, SP2 fixed the misery of windows vista but everyone went to windows 7 because they couldn't choose which OS they would install, so they have chosen windows 7 because they tought windows vista would be still the worst
