Bought two when they originally came out. I think they were around $125 a piece. Still my favorite DB5 model. The most detailed outside of the Eaglemoss 1:8 scale version. The hood (or bonnet) is supposed to be hinged. The guns are fixed due to the size (though the 1:43 scale Corgi had retractable guns). There's a phone in the driver's side door, a gun tray under the seat, the center console armrest flips open to reveal the gadget controls, the antenna retracts, the bumpers extend, and the taillight/oil ejectors flip down.
And the latch to release the rear bulletproof sheald Is under the boot/trunk lid there also a latch to release the passenger ejector seat and a spare wheel in the boot /trunk and both petrol cap covers left and right open
its a fantastic car. Everything moves and works. In the passenger door panel is a secret telephone receiver than can be pulled out, you have to use a toothpick, you open the secret panel and out it comes, the tiniest thing you ever saw but its there. The fuel door opens as well. You just need a toothpick on hand to work everything
I got 2 of those 007 danburymints the rear bulletshield look underneath the card or is it the ejecting seat that also has a button to work those parts haven't check the ones I owned in years
First it's " Aston Martin" not " Austin Martin". Didn't mention the opening gas caps, ejector seat release ( under car), antenna goes up & down, bullet proof screen open/ release is inside the trunk ( at the top) , spare tire under the spare tire cover and in the center armrest & inside driver's side door panel opens too & sun visor moves up and down. ,not sure if rear lights fold down was mentioned..Received mine today. Love it!♥️ Great review though and to be honest, wished my bonet/hood would release and come off to see all the engine detail.Thanks again!
@@rsturycz1 thanks Robert . It was fun trying to find " all" the things that opened/closed, etc. It gives you the feeling of being a kid again and receiving the Corgi J.B. Aston Martin for the first time in ( for me anyways, 1966). Thanks for your review and yes, will visit your shop.😊
@@rsturycz1 have you done a review on the hot wheels Aston Martin ? See them on aliexpress & dh gate. It looks very similar to the Danbury Mint one ( which I have) but seems to have a couple more options such as all the wheel spinners come out , not just the rear driver's side one that the DM has. Same scale too..thought I'd ask as I want to buy one of those too.
My dad bought the same car model years ago, and the read differential broke cause one wheel to fall off the other wheel to just hang there, is there a place that i could take it to get it fixed?
