Today I'm unboxing the Lenovo 100e Chromebook (2nd Gen). This little 11.6" laptop is changing the world. It is a "rough-and-tumble" device that has such a great price, it's able to bring the classroom to students who can't go into school today. Then when we are able to get back to school, it will continue to provide teachers and students all the tools from Google Classroom and G-Suite with a 1:1 student-to-laptop environment.

For such a cheap Chromebook, Lenovo has undoubtedly added a few interesting and impressive set of features to the device. The long lasting battery along with the addition of the MediaTek chipset at its core ensures lag free performance while the access to G suite education tools makes it a practical and reliable gadget especially for all the students in a budget

ChromeOS is definitely winning in "Education" but one other place (strangely enough) is in security. Chromebooks are one of THE MOST safe ways to brows the internet (especially when running from Google hardware, which get the updates first). ChromeOS is really Linux under the hood with the "SELinux" (Security Enhanced) features configured/enabled. This means HIGH levels of separations between apps/processes. Developers are also starting to move to Chromebooks (because of linux and containers)
