Could you (or have you already?) do a video of how the older patterns and new patterns compare? Or have you already and I didn't see it? You say the new ones are really fashionable but I'd LOVE to see a flip through of the old vs the new.
I just found you, I'm happy about that, but sad because I know my husband just ordered this for Christmas 🤶. I am somewhat new to sewing, will you be going step by step sewing The Golden Rule design's that you pick together ?
I haven't been able to find a supplier in Australia so I've ordered from overseas. I missed your discount code though as I'd already ordered but I found an Easter code on the website. Very happy. My package is stuck in Frankfurt waiting for a flight.
I have a half scale mannequin that I use to master sewing skills and patterns. Can I plug in the measurements from the mannequin and make teeny mock-ups? Is there a minimum bust and hip measurement for the adult patterns?
Interesting idea. I think you would need a scale version of the Lutterloh tape measure in order to scale to half size. Then you would draft the patterns in the normal using the scaled ruler. I guess you could make one from paper. Let me know how you get on.
Hi, I have the system that I purchased in 2008. I just purchased the newest version. I tried several times to fit this pattern to me. My measurements are 98 at the bust and 102 at the hips. When I made the vest, It was huge. The shoulders hung way off my shoulders which are only about 3 1/2" wide. How do I go about fixing this? I'm thinking using my upper bust and doing an FBA, would you recommend that? Thank you for any guidance you could help me with. Melody Kona
Hi Melody. Did the vest you cut fit on any part of your body? If it was me Id cut the vest in line with your measurements from a cheap piece of fabric. Make sure to add seam allowance. Pin it until it fits you perfectly by deepening the darts or taking in the seams or adding darts like in the shoulder if needed. Go back to the paper pattern and make adjustments in line with the adjustments you made on you fitted toile. Make a bit of the adjustments then every time you draft another pattern you can make the same adjustments if that makes sense. Hope that helps.
Absolutely lovely to recieve the kit! Can I just ask, did Lutterloh just sent you this simply because they've seen that you do videos regarding the system? I see lots of videos where folk get sent things from companies, but I always wonder if they do just do that as a thank you? And thank you as always, for doing your videos, looking forward to seeing which garments you create!
Yes they just saw my first video and asked if they could send me their latest system. Of course I said yes !! Thanks, there’s lots of sewing going on here!
@@jenstylishsoul oh my goodness, what a lovely thing to recieve! Aren't they kind to do that? And please, you don't know me so I don't want this to sound creapy lol but from seeing your videos, I'm not surprised they did that for such a nice person as you sound 😊 I told John, my partner. And he thought it was lovely too. I'm still secretly hoping I get the system for Christmas. So I could be joining you in sewing garments from it, fingers crossed! Anyway, happy sewing, enjoy! 🙏
Yes there is an XL/XXL system available and you can also buy fuller figure supplements. And even better news Lutterloh have increased the discount to my viewers in the run up to Christmas to 15% using discount code JEN15 🙂
@@jenstylishsoul I think I will get the system. Thank you for sharing in-depth. Haven’t sent many videos like yours. You have definitely convinced me to make the purchase
