This board should be able to handle the power limit of a 12700, which has a max turbo boost of 180watts, benchmarks show this thing can support up to 220watts at full load. I have the 12100F right now, but plan on upgrading to the 13700F eventually, which should be even more power efficient.
I'm looking forward to the Pentium build, as I am thinking of doing a really inexpensive build for my cousin, who is not a gamer. But she is on the internet a lot. She needs a new system, her current CPU is a i3 4th generaltion. Scrolled down, found the link. 🙂
I will try to in the near future...I rotate these computers around for videos on my channels. That said, I looked into it myself and it is listed on this link: www.msi.com/Landing/mystic-light-rgb-gaming-pc/ If you scroll down to where it says mystic light products ...than continue to expand, you will see all the current MSI Pro LGA 1700 products listed Hope that helps.
hey bro, I wanted to know if you were able to make RAID 0 on this motherboard, I have the same one and when I join the partitions, the create array raid does not appear
Supports sure but putting an i9 into this board would be a very stupid move. Personally I woudn't even use an i9 in a B660 chipset board. That's Z690 territory. I'll never understand people matching budget boards with high end CPU's.
@@mattscomp well if the website said it all, that's not my problem since i only using i3 12100f which mean it is great last long motherboard for my i3 12100f, i don't need overclock afterall.
@@gleipnirfenrir that's good then that you have used i3.. I was just pointing out what it means to have a balanced build. i9 or i7 builders need to look elsewhere. Its like with games and when they list minimum requirements. And then you have a recommended specs. MSI are simply saying it will work. Baseline and that's all. The i9 would be performing at i5 levels. Which is just a waste. A fine way to cripple a high end CPU. Besides asking a very basic VRM (no heatsinks even) to deliver all that additional power.
this mobo have everything i need, but have questions 1- will this mobo support i5 12400 or i5 12500 on its full potential?? will be there any bottleneck? 2- does the msi mystice light works well on this mobo since it have 2 argb 5v ports as well??
