Justin, for your big green egg I've figured out a trick. I assume you use a chimney starter for the lump coal. Take the rack out and once you get the chimney starter going put it inside the grill and close the lid. As the coals heat up the grill also heats. When they are cherry red use welding gloves to dump the coals and put the rack in.. It will get you cooking faster.

You can crush the shells from old eggs and throw it in there food and the egg shells will grow thicker if they get thin

I have eaten Nigali and on the BBQ, it was great. If I recall, it was a very purple colored meat. Tasted pretty much like beef.

Look in to the Looftlighter! It’s a heat gun on steroids, starts the grill so much faster!!! Get the looftlighter, not any of the knockoffs or BGE brand. Read the reviews. It almost starts the grill too fast. I used to light the grill and prep the meat, now I need to prep the meat and then light the grill.

Hey justin if you're having problems with vent gleet, dont give them bread. The yeast in the bread could make it worse or it could be the cause of it in the first place.

Use a plumbing torch to start your green egg. I’m up and going with map gas in 10 mins with mine.

Actually if you just drop the on the ground and if broken they will devour that before anything else. Plus the egg shell is another delicacy that the chickens love. Try it next time and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

I know all your buddies might use the T style pellet grill, but don't sell yourself short until you at least check out Rec Tec grills. I own two, and I guarantee you can't beat the warranty or the customer service. Go read the reviews or call them when you get close to choosing one.

Usually the red fluid didn't blood it's myoglobin. A fluid from the inside of cells in meat. The blood would be black or brown and calculated. You'd know it if it was there!

I live north and my chickens lay about 9 a day but I have chickens guinea fowl and ducks in the same pen. It's a way far away for the chickens cause sometimes they lay two times a day but it might be the heat in Texas bro. I get guinea eggs every couple days and duck eggs maybe every other day

I was told (by my stateside taxidermist) that my crate from Africa had to go directly to a U.S. taxidermist. Maybe it was because I did not have anything mounted in South Africa, just skulls, skins, etc. which had to be "dipped" (in a solution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture) and dried before packing the crate to be shipped into the U.S.. Another problematic item was the WartHog which had to have special/separate processing & shipping. Once in the U.S. the WartHog remains had to be boiled by the stateside taxidermist for 20-30 minutes. Maybe all of this was avoidable if the taxidermy had been done overseas...
