No hate on plastic pedals! They are the lightest! I made the switch from aluminium to plastic not so long ago. I haven't bought a complete bike yet. Just switchting out broken parts as I ride my 10 year old hardtail. I did some upgrades like a better fork and better wheelset. But nothing that comes close to that pricepoint. I have to chain my bike once in a while and I would freak out for it get stolen if it would cost 10 grand haha. My favorite expensive bike brand is Liteville btw. Not sure if it is known in the US.

You are going to love the ride. Be it an e-bike or an MTB full suspension is the way to go, no more banging the hell out of your bones if you are on the street. We all get older and sometimes we have to give in to whats good for our bodies. Front and back breaks you will be stopping on a dime. I love my lightweight MTB almost better than my very fast e-bike. You can always lock out the rear shock if you want a harder ride.

I’ll be dropping a pretty penny on a full suspension setup this winter. Went from BMX to a long gap of no bikes and for into MTB, bought a hard tail and upgraded everything and now it’s time to step it up further.

Bro im the same age and im riding a cult 20.5 frame top of the line, i have bad back issues and i still ride every day.. even if im in bad pain.. lol so please keep the bmx around please?:) besides that love that new downhill bike!! I spent 2800 on my cult. You bought it with the Flight Attendant system WOW! that shit is expensive. You need a bike stand to hold your bikes in the air when you working on them especially this bike. Your gonna need a Bike Computer WAHOO ELEMENT the best thank me later for the tip and my bike got the Garmin Radar that will be like eyes in the back of your head to show you if cars are coming up behind you on the screen and tire pressure sensors, RPM Sensor and buy a Heart Rate Monitor cause you getting old. All that tech will sync with the Wahoo Element and will come in handy when you ride. Congrats man dope bike. Welcome to the big leagues the MTB world. P.S. I spent like 5 grand on my MTB I built it myself.

I was stoked for you until you mentioned your 90% rule. You need to get this on trails to feel the true capabilities. It will not perform on the pavement at all. Its home is on gnarly trails. Gimme a let know if you need trail options. Surprisingly there are good(but very dry)trails here in Socal. Great bike tho, man. Cheers eh

They seem nice, only issue i find with myself is trying to park it outside/lock it up safely... Most I'd spend on a bike is 1000.. I'd be too worry about it getting stolen, or perhaps the parts would be even more expensive to replace or other maintenance things. nice for like trail rides and what not, normal biking.

I bought the 2020 SPECIALIZED EPIC EXPERT CARBON FIBER HARD TAIL bike and added a dropper post to it. Spent 5k on it. Ride it everyday in Los Angeles and all over Southern CA. You got a great bike. Enjoy it!
