yeees you should!! I highly recommend thinking about what you want in your ereader (like ecosystem etc) but if you read on the go a lot, I think it'll be a good choice!
i have a kobo libra and it is amazing!!!! i highly recommend ereaders because you can have a whole bookshelf's worth or more in basically a small tablet. e-ink is good for your eyes, too! definitely look into different brands and get what seems best for your needs!
The front light is not strong on the lower end of the scale so that you have more granular control in complete darkness. Your eyes will greatly appreciate small increments in illumination if your pupils have already adjusted for the darkness. Great review!
I'm debating between this device and the boox color 7. my main concern is that this device won't be fast enough when reading online textbooks or using my school website (the color 7 has more ram and ghz but idk if it makes any noticeable difference). and the fact that it's android 11 and not 12 so maybe it lacks certain app compatiblity. my other concern is that the color 7 is dimmer when the brightness is off (bc the color adds an extra layer of separation). so concern is speed/new update compatibility vs nicer display colors when no brightness is on like easier on the eyes than the color 7. so would love to hear your input thanks in advance.
Hm, I’m afraid I won’t be able to help as much because I don’t have the color go and I haven’t really looked into it but! Between the options you’ve given, I think I would personally go for speed and update compatibility because the display brightness etc is more adjustable in a sense? (Tho maybe not the colors, but you could always have the brightness be on to a certain level) 🤔 in addition, have you considered their tab series? It seems to be a bit more on par for what you’re wanting to use this for 👀
I was using boox go color for a week, but i decided to sell it because the eink display quality for me isn’t good enough compared to boox page for reading manga. And also the performance for me more or less same between boox page and boox go color. Hope it helps
It's just a strange organisation of onyx company, like they have specific russian, chinese and international products sometimes they are the exact same just different names, sometimes just some hardware details are different (like Kant and Palma or Edison and Nova Air, or tab mini c and Faraday), (russian cases have different design from international), and sometimes they just have original products like Darwin doesn't have an analogue in international store, page is found as Galileo and Chinese store have a colour version of page as leaf 3c so yeah the branding is just confusing but I like their products
also does the book page support epub 3 the newer format of epubs that allows embedded images and video. just heard about it and wonder how important that is.
Ooh I actually am not sure what format I’m reading on, but I can say that the ones that have illustrations in them show up in the way I believe they intended! I can’t say on ones that embed videos cause that’s honestly my first time hearing about it 😅😂
