It looks really nice. I’ve been eyeing this device for some time. What’s holding me back is the weight, I believe it’s just as heavy as an iPad. How does it feel in the hand when you’re reading on it for a longer period of time? I’m also considering the Boox Palma, it’s much smaller but also lighter.
Hi, Frank. I would not call it lightweight (personally, that's not what I was looking for as I mainly intend to use it on a desk for writing, planning, and annotating articles). I have an older iPad Pro 10.5 inch, and the two devices feel pretty identical in weight. That said, I do like the look and feel of the BOOX Tab Ultra a lot so far.
@@StaceyRoshan Hi, Stacey. Thank you very much for the elaboration, very helpful. It sounds like the Tab Ultra is the perfect device for your use case. I'm looking for a distraction-free consumption-only device that I can hold in my hand for a long period of time, so I think I'd be better off with the Palma. Have you heard John Vorhees on the AppStories podcast (appstories.net/episodes/355) and read Mike Schmitz on the Sweet Setup (thesweetsetup.com/a-mindfulness-monday-review-of-the-onyx-boox-tab-ultra/) about their uses of the Tab Ultra? I thought they were interesting, perhaps it'll give you inspiration for your own workflow. Speaking of which, are you planning on making a video about your workflow with this device once you're all set up? I would be really interested to see it. I always love your NotePlan workflow videos. They always inspire me to try new things, even though I have stopped using the app. So I would be really curious about your use of this device. 🙂🙏
