May I ask why you prefer a 2 piece over a 1 piece? My stoma has changed significantly since my surgery 6 months ago and Im no longer 100% happy with my set up, but we never tried a 2 piece system in the 3 weeks I was in hospital post surgery trying to find a system that worked for me back then. Im trying to see why people that use them, rather than nurses, prefer the 2 piece and therefore if its something I should discuss with my nurse. Thanks

@ManchesterVicky With a two-piece, you can keep the base plate on longer and just pop a new bag on in seconds also less changes of the back plate results in less stress on the parastomal skin area.
