Please never consider leaving RU-vid again. I'm glad Randy talked you out of it. You are honestly one of the few fishing web channels that I consider reputable and honest. Also I learn a great deal from you about fishing and being a better person. I have loved this channel for such a long time and I remember when your sub's were in the 30's and I told you how surprised I was you didn't have 100 K subscribers, well now I'm surprised you don't have 500 K. You are always talking about having your finger against the line so you can feel when a fish hits it! I have never done that until yesterday and I gave it a try! It really helped and makes a big difference! I love it now! Thank you for all your tips and opinions!

I love Dobyns. I used to be apprehensive because I saw a couple YT videos of guys saying the fury rods broke but that wasn't the case with mine. It's super sensitive for the price too. Cant beat it

Man please don’t stop your channel because people want to poke fun at you. What they don’t realize is all the positive influence you bring teaching everyday anglers and those who have just started into this hobby. As a follower and a fan of your page, this last year wasn’t easy for anybody and for me you brought a sense of humor and content that helped me through. Don’t give up because you never know how you’ve helped people out, even just being a “regular guy” who likes to feesh 🍻 tight lines man!

Love your content 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 keep making videos. Your videos on eliminating backlashes on baitcasters is probably the number 1 video out there for that purpose. I’m in quite a few fishing groups and that video is always there to help anglers. Secondly I love your reel breakdown and maintain videos. I’d love to see more really in depth content like those! Man I love American Legacy Fishing. They are 2 hours away from me and just recently opened the showroom back up since Covid. They are very friendly and always hook me up when buying a bunch of gear. Great people to deal with!

Zillion is hands down one of the best all around reels on the market. I love them so much I own 4 of them. 2 jdm models and 2 USDM models.

I have the Fury 705CB and it is my favorite rod. A great combination of power, sensitivity, and action. I had an Abu Veritas Winch rod initially, but it had the sensitivity of a wet noodle. Sure it would help keep treble-hooked fish pinned, but it took away the feel of the lure. I have the 705CB paired with an Abu Revo Winch spooled with 12lbFluoro. I use it for everything from 1.5 squarebills to 5XDs and it has been awesome. I also have a Fury 703C (MHF) and 704C (HF). I completely agree with you that they feel about a 1/2 to 1 power less than the MedHvy and Hvy labels.

I’m a Dobyns fan,I started with the Fury series and now I own several Champions. I also made the switch to mostly Diawa Tatulas. Great products. The 704 is a great stick. I like it for T Rigs and 3/8oz jigs.

Nice a Diawa unboxing! The Tatula Elite is an awesome reel I liked it so much I had to get two one in a 6.3 and one and 8.1. I'm still waiting for my new Zillion to arrive, I really like Dobyns rods too I have the Sierra ultra finesse baitcasting rod.

Daiwa...yessir! Really glad you picked up the Elite...it's my favorite. I bought a Curado DC at the same time. Love them both but Daiwa takes the cake. Got both on a Dobyns FR703C... already catching them down here in Georgia! Thanks for sharing your knowledge brother!

Great minds think alike. Just received my Tatula CT. Been real happy with my Dobyns Fury and Sierra series rods and was looking at pairing the CT with a new Dobyns Kaden series rod. They're supposed to offer a little faster action then other Dobyns series rods, might check it out for myself

Love the Dobyns rods. Have a Dobyns fury with the shimano slx xt. Also have a Dobyns champion paired with a daiwa sv tw, all my buddies always want to throw it haha.

I have the tatula elite p/f and love it. Diawa reels also are the only reels that to engage the spool after pushing the the button all u have to do is push the thumb button back up you do not have to turn the handle to engage the spool. It is awesome especially when pitching and flipping

Just caved and tried a googan gold rod, the 7'2" medium moderate with a new curado 70 mgl. That thing feels soooooo good in hand with the molded cork. Caught my new pb this week on it throwing a shakey head, 6lb 4.5oz

From someone that has as low as a 100$ dollar reel the Lew LFS Speed Spool and as high as a 415$ dollar reel Shimano Metanium MGL there is a difference with casting distance and smoothness. My personal opinion is that for good casting distance anywhere from a 200$ reel and up gives u everything u need. If u really want a expensive reel and have the money go for it if not don’t. Also I really like the Daiwa Tatula Elite it cast so smooth and feels great, it took me time to dial it in a but it’s amazing.

Hey Debo, Nice Vid, just picked up a couple Tatula's... a CT100HSL and a SV TW 103HL (haven't had them out yet). Also a Ritual Angling R-II series 7' 1" med/fast and a Fenwick Techna PX 6' 10" med/light/fast (Tackle Warehouse sale) I'm curious to see the "Tatula Elite" review, I was thinking about the Elite pitch & flip reel !!

I actually picked up the Elite P/F model over this only because i love the longer handle and EVA knobs. Don't for a second think that you're only limited to pitching and flipping with the Elite P/F model. It casts the same "if not better" than my other Daiwa bait casters "Tatula CT". I use it to bomb out chatters and spinners. Even my bigger 1oz ploppers and buzz baits. Outstanding reels! Debating if I want to put braid on it so I can use it for some frogging too. I have it paired with a 7 foot medium-heavy fast action Ark Lancer Pro rod. I also have a lot of good things to say about the rod too! It's my first Ark rod and i'm really impressed with it. Especially with it only being a 99 dollar rod. So if anybody is on the fence thinking about buying the Elite P/F over the normal Elite because they like the handle and knobs better..... Just do it. I look at it this way. I have an outstanding do everything reel that will excel at pitching and flipping when I decide to learn that technique! Also yes it holds less line but its the same line capacity as you'd get from the Tatula SV so I wouldn't stress about that either. Tight lines!

I’ve never used a Dobyns rod but everything I’ve heard about them was positive so I might have to break down and give them a shot some day. Love those Daiwa reels. That Zillion is an awesome reel, but after a few toads it didn’t really feel as smooth as it did originally.
