The body parts with the worm holes can be put into a freezer for 3 days to be sure there are no more eggs or bugs in them. The silk ribbon with roses is called Jacquard-woven ribbon, very special and rare. I have that doll repair book also. Irene... Do you have a private email where I could write to you?
Dear Irene. I Have a doll, it was my mother's. I would like to send the doll to you as a present, I have the Original Box. The doll needs some repairs and she has some original dresses.
In the description is a website, I don't know if the link still works, but, perhaps you could contact her that way? By now, she may have other social media for such contacts as well.
Hi Irene, its great to watch you unbox future potentail. The look on your face gets me everytime. Luv it. Cant wait to see you create. Thank you as always. Luv from the UK x
I can see how much joy these little dolls bring you and it's a pleasure to watch. I love how carefully you unwrap them and marvel at their condition. I can't wait to see how you restore them. Lots of love from the USA.
Those dolls have been through the wars and seen some things, its only natural that they end up in your Doll restoration, for much needed care and therapy. You should dedicate a room for them to rest and mingle with each other sharing their experiences.
If the legs with bug holes are wooden, place them in the freezer for several days to kill the beetles. We just had to treat our table from the 1800’s. Preferably a deep freezer.
Can't wait to see the restoration videos with these dolls! I must admit, the last one (the wax doll) was indeed the ugliest of the bunch. Not only is it damaged, but I find her legs to be way too short for her body. Hope you can restore her!
I marvel at your expression every time you open a package, you remind me of a child impatiently waiting for what will happen! I look forward to seeing how you restore these dolls. they are a true beauty.
I don’t think that will be the case. You are an amazing communicator. With today’s technology every person can turn on the subtitles in their own language. I think Irene has truly amazing skills that she shares so freely. Irene you are a joy to watch and learn from.
Watching this and saying, with each piece unwrapped, "Oh, I can't wait to see that project!"... Then another box, and, "Oh, I can't wait to see that project!"... ❤❤❤
I hope we get to see you repair some of these beauties on your other channel. The lace and fabrics you got are stunning and the green dress is going to make lovely clothes.
Wow! what a transformation Irene! but i am not talking about the transformation of your beautiful dolls, but yours! You actually speak english better than me! 😅. I just started watching your videos, and i must said it caught my attention that i saw a woman , very quiet, very shy, not talking at all, hardly showing her face, immerse in her work, reparing skillfully all these broken dolls, sorrounded by all this mistic, vintage atmosphere, where all you could hear was the sweet sound of a beutiful vintage sewing machine, sewing away this victorian like cute doll dresses. I though to myself "she is either too shy and doesnt have the nerve to talk to her youtube followers , or she just doesnt speak english. So when i turned on my tv, today, and sat comfortably to watch your channel all of a sudden i hear, this vivacious woman talking very good english and engaging with no problem with her viewers i jumped and i said WHAT? wait a minute, i think i put the wrong channel , so i had to actually go back to one of your previous recordings and started comparing , ok the same decoration , the same brick wall, etc, etc, oh my god, no is the same woman! i must said that i do admire you skill at reparing dolls, but i totally loved the mistery of this quiet woman doing her work so peacefully, and skillfully. ❤
Irene, are you not tempted to use some of the heads or spare body parts to take plaster cast moulds? Then you can cast more parts later if you find you are short….
I just found your doll-restoration video around a month ago, and I immediately subscribed. Love your contents especially your doll restoration videos!! These remind me of my childhood where I used to play dolls with my sister🧸🪆 Thank you for sharing your beautiful doll restorations🖤
i remember that rare doll, my grandmother owned it after she found it in the rubble of England during ww2 when she was four years old, somehow that old doll survived not only the explosion but also went through her, her sisters and brother, then her son and daughter, then through me and my sister, somehow its still in 1 piece after being played with through three generations, still has her blue sleep eyes
Fun unboxing. I was into doll repair years ago. Not good at it. However I look forward to seeing the doll at 13:10 restored. Always enjoyed dolls that looked more like children.
This woman is beyond remarkable!! That little German doll..with all the beautiful handmade outfits!! Her loving smile looking at the doll..so endearing. Wonderful channel❤❤❤
I love your doll content! really love. my dream is to have such a beautiful doll collection one day! love to see people who love tem so much as i do enough to restore them and give them a pretty and lovely look again ❤
Hi Irene . I can't wait for the restoration videos. I'm wondering which you'll chose to do first. I know the end results will be amazing having seen your other restorations.
What a gorgeous box of goodies Irene. I was as excited as you to see everything you bought on eBay. I remember my mother telling me that she always wanted a doll with a real china head when she was a little girl, but she never got one because WWII was going on at the time (my mum was born in 1937) and toys - along with food and everything else - was rationed during the war. My mum said she was very jealous when her older sister was given a beautiful doll with a china head for Christmas in 1943, while my mum got a Raggedy Anne doll. As you no doubt know, Raggedy Anne dolls were made of fabric and they were very popular in England, which is where we come from originally. Thank you for another great video, love from Amanda in Melbourne, Australia
I acquired an actual newborn scale doll, artist number 3, from a mountain auction barn. The artist pressed beeswax to an infant, was able to make 3 spectacular dolls from the first mold, then they became mold models for additional productions. But the one I had had no back to her head, too fragile, it was crushed I guess. No matter, the auction barn couldn't sell it and gave it to me. After research, it was valued at $15,000 in 1970! I hope you have the same luck with your little beeswax girl!
The lace blouse - wow! I hope you don't have to cut it up in order to use it. That would be a shame. I love unboxing videos, and this one is charming. Subscribed.
My relatives brought me a walking doll from the US when I was like 4 years old and that was 1970 I think. It was a pretty doll about 2 feet tall with short curly blond hair. My big regret is that I was not able to preserve it cause I was too young to know this things like preserving it. Now I'm in the US working as a nurse. I haven't seen that kind of doll that I used to have.
No offence, but watching paint dry is more exciting. I thought you were going to explain some history about the doll, the material used and the age or country of origin. Instead, I watched a box and heard paper russeling. Sorry, but I was kind of bored
hello, I absolutely adore your videos 🩷 could you perhaps tell us about your favorite books about dolls and doll making? I'd love to do some research on the topic myself!
You should wear that lace blouse in one of your restoration videos on your other channel. I’m really enjoying both of your channels. You are so talented and versatile. Keep them coming, because they are awesome!
It's enchanting to hear your voice. 😊 I've watched several of your videos but have never heard you speak. I always imagined you not to be a speaker of English, but your English is exquisite! Thanks for another great (and really different for me) video. I almost feel like I've met you in person now. ❤
Can someone please explain why all of these dolls look like my mum? It’s a long running joke in our family that so many old dolls look like her. We’ve been to doll museums and it’s uncanny seeing her face everywhere.
I have 3 composition dolls. One was my mothers, one was my Aunties and the other was my mother in laws. I have no attachment to my mother in laws ,but would love to gift her to you if you can use her. If you would like her, please let me know so I can get her on her way.
