So $60 for only 3 days, Plus you have to still cover 1. Breakfast 2. Lunch 3. another 4 days of dinner? 4. You STILL have to cook all that shit! Sounds fucking expensive!
this is biggest waste in packaging ever, is this a delivery every 2 days or 3 days? wasteful! should be all the food for the next 7 days at least and shipping once per week with everything there. They also give out the shittest quality for a ingredient and very close to the expiration date.
I think it's one box that has 3 meals in it every week. You can always choose a different amount of food you get by increasing the number of people you need to feed, it's just more expensive.
The service looks interesting, but don't you find yourself overwhelmed by the sheer amount of plastic garbage created by having everything pre-portioned like that. I mean... you had two separate plastic containers of butter. I don't consider myself to be "green" but it looks like this service is creating a lot of waste.
I don't know about overwhelmed but understand your concern. I think you two should opt out of this service I have a feeling you both will freak out with all the throw away materials.
Buy the cookbook from Amazon way cheaper than last ordering frozen meal online. stupid peoples begin too stupid, lazy, and waste of money ordering small food, one cooking ingredients and there no expiration date. it's not worth it
As someone on disability, I can tell you that the price range is totally unreasonable, I can get most if not all of the items for a quarter the cost. The frivolous capitalist market has dumbed down an entire generation until they can't even shop for themselves, and I can get 2 meals from my local Asian food market with no msg or gmo ingredients for 6.32 a meal, which keeps me full all day, the second one is eaten the next day. Honestly how stupid do you have to believe that you are getting your money's worth (note, I live in V.A. So the price more than likely varies.
blue apron is alright if you dont cook well. I found it very shallow and cheap...but it was nice to have spices ready to go. I felt like a boss in the kitchen...but actual meal was kinda sad...all 5 times. The vegetarian meals are a little more eccentric. The family plan is junk.
Hi, it's been a while since you posted this video, but how did you like Blue Apron after the unboxing? Did you enjoy the food? Do you think the price is worth it for only 3 meals a week? Do you still use Blue Apron? Sorry for all the questions, I'm debating giving it a try.
It's a red onion and I'm getting my first 2 meal box for $18. The portions look hella small. I can eat a bowl of Brussels sprouts the size of my head, tyvm.
Painful to see the heaviest stuff atop the most delicate stuff...and everything, esp meat, thrown around and beaten up, multiple times. Why spend the money on quality, only to discount it when you get it?
Thanks for doing this, I have been watching several reviews, so far, it looks like Hello Fresh separates the ingredients for the individual meals and seems to send better looking vegetables. How do you like this?
If you toss & bang the produce more, it might become one big bruise and therefore, less noticeable? Handling is what devalues produce....meat, too. Slam, press, poke, rub, toss....none of that is good for ...,.anything, really....but esp for fresh produce and meat. J/s...
Thank you for taking the time in creating this home video! I appreciate the honest consumer opinion before purchasing anything. I'm trying to learn to cook and I despise going to the grocery store. I'm receiving my first shipment Monday. Thanks again!
Great unboxing video, thanks for sharing. To the folks that talk about packaging, that padding is biodegradable. And you get a lot less than if you bought at the store. Eating out is wasteful. We do #peachdishmeal and we love it! Cheers!
Brigette, this is pretty cool. How does it work? Do you pick certain meals of the week and then they send you the ingredients for those days? I am checking out the peach meal website right now.
that is a lot of food. do you use your grocery money to buy the blue apron subscription boxes. does all the food really lasts for about 3 days or more? :)
We love this service, it saves us so much time on planning meals and having to go to the grocery store to get the items. The food does last a week refrigerated, they do suggest you eat the seafood items early in the week so it is at it's freshest. I would recommend you giving it a try you can always cancel at no fee.
big l Davinci L There is no need for the hating, here is a link to more information about the Kaffir Lime: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaffir_lime . Going by your last reply the grammar might look a little skewed but believe me it is correct. I hope this help :)
