@@Crispy_Bee Hank and this channel are cool but taking a 100% markup for a logo and a phone mount really ain't a great look. Not a fan of when youtubers/influencers rebrand a generic product while talking about "working hard to produce it," especially if there aren't any notable customizations.

@@thorr18BEM -- to be fair to Harley Judy, HG does use a much more relaxed and even vocal tone when narrating the microcosmos videos, which is different from the more energetic and sometimes comedic inflections used in a lot of the vlogbrothers videos and even the scishow and crash course videos.

HUH? I don't think you really understand what you're talking about. You multiply the ocular lens by the objective lens. On a stock, high-performance compound light microscope, magnification levels of 1000x can be achieved (10x ocular lens, 100x objective lens). With that said, the maximum magnification level of a light microscope at the high end of the performance spectrum is 2000x magnification (20x ocular, 100x objective).

@@chronovore7234 I know and thats the problem. I purchased a special ruler and I measured magnification levels by measuring real physical values. If x1 magnification allows me to see 2.5cm ina field of view while x10 magnification allows me to see 0.25cm, it means that we deal with x10 magnification, not x100 or x100. RIght?, if you use further and use x100 objective and field of range show you 0.025cm .. it means that actual functional magnification is x100.. not x1000 etc. I dont say it because I read about it on the internet.. I am saying what I simply measured with ruler. If you dont believe me, just do it by yourself? I am not a microscopy guy, I just found inconsistency in marketing bs so I invested into some tools and measured these. I used 3 separate microsope systems to confirm it, Mitutoyo, Swift and Leitz. How about that? I dont need to discuss it, just sharing something I have found by myself by measuring things, not by repeating things someone else wrote. Do with that knowledge whatever you want to, have a good day.
