I'm even later to this but I'm really enjoying the info about crystals and things. I've always been superstitious though (thanks to my grandmother) and was taught that unless opals are your birthstone, you shouldn't wear them. Everything you bought is so beautiful!
@@teresacartwright5406 I was taught the same thing about opals by my mom, even though she worked in a high end and knew it wasn't true. I think that superstition came about because opals are relatively fragile and can be damaged pretty easily. Most people back then who did have them wore them only on special occasions and never while doing chores.
Amethyst is my birthstone. I born in February. So that huge piece of Amethyst sitting by your fireplace is absolutely gorgeous. It’s also my favorite I just love it. Absolutely love your video.
Y'all should check out a science fiction book called Crystal Singer by Anne McCaffrey. Singers with perfect pitch can sing crystals on a planet with these special crystals that can be used in spaceship engines. But the singers get addicted to singing the crystals. It's awesome!
That gorgeous citrine goes along with Austin's coloring quite nicely! Thanks for sharing the information about the shungite. I am going to get myself some because I do have concerns about the proliferation of EMF's.
This might sound weird, but Amberly, I love the care and love that shows through in the manner that you move your hands. I noticed this during the fishtanks too. It is almost shows how much you care for everything that you touch. It’s your old soul shining through.
I love your Finds ! Congrats Austin for the Large Amethyst ! Amberly Love the Hat ! OH I Finally get to see Home Free Live for the First time in May !!!!!!
Pretty interesting and cool info! TYVM for sharing your personal life and take on different things. You are both such beautiful people!! I love you both so much! (HEART..HEART…HEART).
I have to admit I too am fascinated with crystals and gems. My two favorites are Garnet and Black Onyx. Alot of my love of crystals comes from my religious beliefs and practices. This explains my mist love stone in my collection, a 100 mm Black Onyx crystal ball. I am going to have to check out the web site y'all keep mentioning.
Hello from Athens,GA! Loved seeing all your finds from Tucson! I love crystals as well so this was right up my alley. Ya’ll are such a great couple and I wish ya’ll all the best!
Straight mineral collector here, keep the amethyst and citrine plates out of the sun, they can fade. If they have origin labels afix them to the back of the specimen for provenance.
You have some beautiful gems! Funny been through Quartzites,Az. So many times and always thought what’s all the hype about gem shows, y’all just showed me,wow had no idea so many different pieces of this n that! Thanks for sharing, you guys are too cute & oh so sweet! Enjoy next years show, will watch for that haul reveal too. You really get into the knowledge portion of your buys! Enjoyed thanks!❤️
I highly highly highly recommend the Love Is In The Earth series of books. They've carried me through many years of "rock-hunting." And, for the incredible experience of it all, I would suggest y'all try digging at the crystal mines around Mt. Ida, Arkansas. It's a filthy red-dirt endeavor, after which you just have to burn your clothes because they're so stained, but it's truly an energy-raising, let's-get-buzzed experience. I found so many water crystals there...
Congratulations on making it to the big show. I'm a rock hound. I love the big rock and gem shows but I've never made it to the big one.. I hope you got a black opal because are far more colorful. I love labradorite too and so much so that besides jewely and specimens I have labradorite for my kitchen and bathrooms counter tops. Charoite is found only in Siberia Russia and because of the ground being frozen a lot of the time it's only mined in warmer weather. Howlite can be dyed to look like turquoise and is often sold as turquoise so any time you buy turquoise you have to buy from a reputable dealer. A friend of mine has a large amethyst cathedral that her granddaughter would crawl into even with the sharp points and when she would come out her diaper would be in shreads. You guys made one hell of a haul of very nice specimens. I have so much that I have some things that I would like to send you, would someone tell be how to do that. And if you are fortunate enough to have a rock club in your area you should join because some have teachers and equipment to cut slabs or cabbing stones for jewelry and they have a wealth of information. Love you rock hounds . congratulations
Just watched this. Better late than never. Fact about Ammolite. It is found and mined only in the Bearpaw formation in Alberta, Canada. Considered to be the rarest form of fossil.
The two large pieces are stunning. And that fluorite was so amazing. I wish I could see them in a picture because I’m not getting the colors very well. Thanks for sharing
Comments are late, just found this video. I have loved rocks and gems since small child, mom would point out pretty ones when we traveled, dad use to joke about all the added weight was dragging the bumper on the ground, cause I would bring home large metal coffee cans full of rocks. The. Gem and Mineral show in Kansas City is marvelous.
There are about 40 official “shows” in Tucson during the “Gem Show”. If you can, plan the next trip around the Tubac Craft / Art show, earlier in the year. And go up Mt Lemmon, Kitt Peak, Sabina Canyon, and take a visit to the Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum
I came on late to watch this But it was fun to watch. Your green OM sign is beautiful. The green quartz was gorgeous also. All the crystals are so nice.
You got me! I love rocks! I have rocks in my gardens, collect rocks when walking dogs! That gem by the fireplace is gorgeous! And that large crystal is enough to make you sing! Inspiration for a song?
I finally had time to watch this video all the way through. I love crystals and gemstones. You have some gorgeous pieces there. I have a tree of life pendant like the ones you two wear. Mine is made with garnet (my birthstone). Thanks for sharing. 💙
Hello from Fort Payne Alabama. I just found the channel and binged watched all the videos. I really enjoyed them. I'll be waiting for the next one. Love you guys ❤️
I am writing while I'm watching. I'm totally into this, I'm loving the energy y'all are sharing. I've worn crystals for years. I'm an opal baby as I was born in October. But all these are blowing me away. I know I'm going to try to grab a few of thos pendants. Okay going to watch the rest of this video. Lol. Bright Blessings Y'all. ✌🏻&❤
Enjoyed watching this so much! I collect rocks minerals and crystals, not for healing purposes but just to enjoy the beauty of creation. I've been following y'all's Instagram stories from the show and it looked amazing. Hubby and I went to the Houston museum of natural science a few years ago and they have so many absolutely beautiful pieces. They had giant amethyst pieces as tall as a person, and just a lot of really unique specimens.
The G&M Show can be exhausting! Did you ever think you’d see so many minerals and other things in one place? Tip: if you have any kind of quartz you can bury it (traditionally during the full moon) under a pine tree and leave it there for a month. All the cloudiness will disappear and only a few lines will remain. Good choice on the book. The strangest thing I saw this year was a vampire kit. Weird…
I'm jealous of anybody who gets to travel to Tucson. One of my homes away from home (the other being my birth place of San Diego). I went to high school in Tucson eons ago. Been almost 10 years since I've been there.
You seem to be such a good, wholesome couple and l love your dreams for the future. All good vibes to you. If l had a spare penny it would come your way but not possible right now. If things change then it's yours because you are doing good things. Also, I have to say that I have a tree of life very similar to yours, although mine is all amethyst, and since I've had it I have genuinely noticed my energy and mood are improving. I've had months - literally - of depression and just plain apathy- and I'm starting to come out of it since I got mine.
Thanks for the Vlog, I am really enjoying it. We are from North Georgia, yes from Georgia like Austin. Southern like Tim, Austin and Chance. I don't know where Amberley is from? I just subscribed.
Would definitely check y'alls gem and crystals out; and signed up for the emails. I to am a home free hippy crystal rock and gem lover my absolute favorite is quartz crystal points with inclusions but my favorite version of my Oct birthstone is the fire opal. Love y'all from Northern WV 💕
Just want you two to know after watching this I have actually bought some gems. I don't know a thing about them but, they are pretty. Thanks Austin, just what I needed, something else to spend money on...geez
I've always wanted to do a full collection of all the various shades of fluorite. It's so wonderful. Y'all know of the Elmwood Mine in Carthage, TN? Also Minas Gervais in Brazil is where so many emeralds (and other beautiful stones) originated.
Amberley can you tell me where you are from? Did you find any opal? You said you wanted to find opal. Thanks and BTW you and Austin bought some beautiful pieces.
@@TheBeautyandTheBass Thanks for the reply, You did purchase some beautiful stones. I am a big Home Free Fan since 2013. I Love ❤ Austin's Voice, My favorite song to date is Unchained Melody (both versions). My late Daddy's favorite hobby was fishing. Hunting a few times in our lives. We went fishing with him but not hunting. We live in Georgia appx. 2 1/2 hours from Chattanooga and a few hours from Tifton. True Southerners but have some Northern Friends.
That big chunk of fluorite is called watermelon fluorite because it also has the green fluorite. I'm sorry but I was thinking about tourmaline. So scratch the info ont fluorite.
I LOVE that large amythest that Austin bought is stunning! It’s my favorite stone. I have always wanted one last key that too. Talking about the dogs, it’s no joke. What would happen if it falls over? Would it break? Just something to think about!
