@@BirdNerdSophie I checked into it. It's a bit expensive just for the flowers but there may be other things. I often get books from the UK so possible.

Aw yaayyyy I’m so glad they like the cork perch so much! When the cork stops functioning as a perch, I use them as table toys/floor toys/lap toys. Even just a cork slab on the table is enough to keep them busy for a good while. You can also drill holes straight through and string them up with paper rope to make a hanging toy.

Yes I was going to make it into a toy but they are loving playing with it on the base of the cage! It was hanging on by a thread for ages as they have loved chewing it 😁 thank you so much again for the generous gifts!

It's always interesting to see what you buy for your flock. I recently made the cardboard platform as a DIY project out of a cat scratch board and stick screws. Popcorn and Emil are still a bit unsure about it but sat on it a few times

@@BirdNerdSophie someday I find the perfect position for it. I actually just DIYed it because I didn’t saw a reason to pay 10€ for a cardboard platform when I get 3 for around 7-8€

Dry mix: Mike’s and Mia now do one for small birds, which could be a real times saver for you if you want to take a look. Bells: what do you do about when the bell is used as a stopper to keep the toy together?

It’s much cheaper overall for me to make my own, especially as I have 7 birds 😅 You can modify the toy to add something else like another toy part at the base, or restring the whole toy altogether!

@@BirdNerdSophie oh well, some of the ingredients in the dry mix I mentioned looked interesting, so maybe you could get some to use as a topper. I’ve been quite nervous about using a home-made dry mix because I found buying all the ingredients quite expensive and I don’t know how much of stuff to include in order for it to be good nutritionally. Might have to look at getting myself some more toy parts to replace bells. I just bought some toy packs from Northern parrots, and there are loads of bells!

Hi , it will be great if you can help me through because I have been trying to feed fresh veg chops after loooking your videos to my 8 year old Amazon parrot which I have bought recently , it’s a pre loved parrot and he is not keen on eating veges at all , he doesn’t like pellets , he only likes fruits (apples, bananas, grapes ) only and he eats seeds , please it will great if you can help me

I loved this video. My creativity is a bit lacking so I’m hoping to ask you some questions. What do you do with the flowers? Also, I saw the pic of milk shacks. In the future would you put a link to the video you mentioned about highlighting it in a previous video. Do you keep the perch in the same place and move the toys or do you move the perch as well as toys? Thank you for your videos. I have enjoyed them and have learned a lot from them

Glad you enjoyed it! The flowers are edible and I add them to my dry mix! We sometimes move the perches around but usually keep them on similar places so they can use the space well!

Is it okay for me and my husband to have our cockatiel (her name is Liberty) to sleep with us in her cage in our room. And my husband found her while working on a roadside job. She just flew to him and we believe it's a reincarnation. What do you believe or think?

It’s better if they can sleep in another room as it can be a bit disruptive for them!

They can get stressed. it’s better they sleep in their cage and in a quiet place where they won’t get disturbed.

I live in a shared 2 bedroom apartment. My room is the only place for me to house my 2 birds. I'm aware of their need for 10-12 hours of sleep, so once I put them to bed, I try not to go back into my room until I go to bed, and then no lights or sounds in the room. Unfortunately, I don't have a choice. We had to move in with my mom to help care for her.
