Hi lovely video! I found the manual was missing a lot of information so this helped a lot. Just one questions: when cooking frozen food, should I use the temperature/time suggested by the maker for oven, or would the air fryer cook the food quickly? Many thanks!
I just brought one and it’s great. The only issue I have is when adjust the time or temperature, and you have to change quickly otherwise the screen moves between both
Hi Ann, thanks for your comment! We appreciate you sharing your experience with the Essential Airfryer XL and are glad to hear that you're enjoying it. Indeed, when adjusting the cooking time or temperature, the screen will change back if you stop pressing the buttons. Let us know if you have further comments or questions. :)
@@Philips thanks it’s just annoying. Shame you could like on a button for temp and another for cooking time and you don’t move in until your happy with the chosen temp or time. My last air fryer had a knob and I found that so much much more user friendly
You are recommended to clean thoroughly before the first use, to ensure optimal cleanliness. However, there should not be a very strong chemical smell that could impact the food, upon first time use. Hope that helps to clarify your doubts! Have a great rest of your day!
Hi Cheryl, thank you for your question. The splatter-proof lid can be placed inside the Airfryer during cooking. The lid will fit nicely inside the basket, where it will prevent spatters on the inner ceiling of the Airfryer. Hope this informed you enough. Feel free to let us know if you have any more questions. We'll gladly help out.
Hello Hig, thanks for your comment. You can purchase a food separator as an accessory, as this is not included in the box. Please note the food separator is compatible with certain Airfryer models. We hope this answers your question. If you need further assistance, do not hesitate to contact us again. Thank you.
Hi, care to enlighten me what are the differences between the model in this video wnd the current XXL one with rose gold color accent, if I'm not mistaken the model number is HD9860. CMIIW. Thank you in advance.
Hi there, thank you for your message. A big advantage of the XXL variant is that it's the same size as the Airfryer XL. That's why the XXL doesn't take up more space on your counter top. The renewed TurboStar technology drains fats and juices even better, so your snacks are less greasy and extra crispy. Feel free to let us know if you have any additional qeustions. :)
Hi Juju, thanks for reaching out. This appliance is equipped with an automatic shut-off function. If you do not press a button within 20 minutes, the appliance switches off automatically. To switch off the appliance manually, you can simply press the power On/ off button. Hope this helps!
Hello I have a new Philips Essential XL air fryer. My model is 9280/91. Is this the same one that you demonstrating? Also can you do a video on how to connect the WI to cell ph? Thank you in advance.
Hi there, thanks for reaching out to us. Could you please let us know what your country of residence is so we can look into this for you? Thanks in advance. Patiently awaiting your reply.
@@Philips On the box it's shows WiFi. The salesman at Hirsch where I bought it, said I must pair my air fryer to my cell ph on wi fi. I was asking how to do this? Also how does automatic work? I haven't tried this function yet? Thank you so much Averil
Hi there Nour. Thanks for reaching out to us. Could you kindly elaborate on this question a bit more? The device only is functional when it's connected to a power outlet. Awaiting your reply.
Hi George, thanks for your comment. The rubber grommet at the bottom of the bowl is designed to stay in place and should not be removed. It’s made of high-quality, heat-resistant material that can withstand the temperatures inside the Airfryer during cooking. Removing the grommet isn’t necessary and doing so can cause the basket to become unstable. If the grommet is lost or damaged, replacements can be ordered through the Philips online shop or by contacting a local service center. For further assistance or if you have any more questions, please feel free to contact us. We're here to help!
Hello, I live in egypt and the electricity here is 50hz and I think there is a difference between the two models hd9270/90 vs hd9270/91 in the HZ so which one is the 50 and which is the 60, and if I used the 60hz in my county which is 50hz what will happen?

Hi Iwona, indeed, that model is unfortunately not available in Poland. However, we advise you to keep an eye out for potential future changes. Thank you for understanding!
Hi Aiza. Thanks for your message. The amount of oil may vary depending on the dish. We recommend downloading the philips kitchen app so you can see how much oil is needed for your dish. If you want to add oil to your food, you need to add it to the ingredients before you start air frying. Do not add oil into the Airfryer itself. You can read more here: to.philips/6050KaHmn. We hope that helps.
This was my second air fryer ru-vid.comUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB . The last one worked fine but was large and a bit loud. This one is outstanding. It is smaller overall but still has plenty of capacity. It crisps the food better. You don't get one side soggy if you forget to turn it over. It is pretty quiet, easy to use, easy to clean, and works great. It chimes to alert you to functions, like when to turn over food that benefits from that. The automatic pre-heat is great. The display is large and easy to read, the light inside is actually useful. The window is worth the extra $10. It looks good sitting out on my counter. I haven't been this happy with an appliance for a long time. Good value for money.
Hi, thanks for your comment! The XL comes with a 1.2 kg basket and a pan with a capacity of 6.2 l, while the XXL comes with a 1.4 kg basket and a pan with a capacity of 7.3 l. We hope this helps but please feel free to let us know if you have any other questions!
The oil sits between the basket (where you put the food into) and the bucket (where the basket sits) and when you remove the basket you easily remove the oil etc
Where do I get the recipe book/cooking instructions for Model HD9270/70 Essential XL Airfryer. I have purchased this in India. The label says, Country of Origin is China and Imported by Philips Domestic Appliances India. And also, as mentioned in the product details, NutriU mobile could not be downloaded as it is not available in my country :( Please help.
Hello Saleh, there's no difference. You're mentioning the same model number. 🙂 Just let us know if this is a typo, and then share your country of residence. Once we know this, we can take a look or you.
Thank you for clarifying, Saleh. There's no difference. The number after the slash doesn't matter. We hope this answers you question. Feel free to reach out if something is still unclear.
@@Philips Hello, I live in the UAE and we have in store 2 different models. The HD9260 and the HD9270 can you tell me what are the main differences? Thank you very much

Ciao @ Susy!
Hi Tony. Thanks for reaching out and your interest in our product. In fact, you do not need to preheat your Philips Airfryer. You can immediately put the ingredients into the basket, without preheating. Isn't that great? 🙂

Hi Heba, thanks for reaching out! You can press the on/off button to turn off your Airfryer. :) This appliance is also equipped with an automatic shut-off function, however. This means that if you do not press a button within 30 minutes, it switches off automatically. We hope this information is helpful, please let us know if you have any other questions!
You're welcome, Heba! Thanks for getting back to us. With regard to your first question about turning off the appliance, we do not mean a long press. Pressing the on/off button once will indeed turn the Airfryer on, but pressing it again should turn it off. Please let us know if this is the case! To assist you with your other question, we'd have to see the model number of your Airfryer. We're happy to help you further, so we invite you to send us a message on Facebook (@Philips) or Twitter (@PhilipsCare), kindly sharing the following: a photo of the product details (located on a sticker on the bottom of the appliance) and your country of residence. Thank you and hope to speak to you soon. :)
