Hello everyone, I am eager to share with you my latest acquisition: Piko 59700 locomotive which resembles a DB V200 Lok, Expert line, produced in 2012, Direct Current, PluX22 interface for digitizing.
I was told by the owner that it is stock, but I discovered later that it has a digital decoder with sounds. However, it appears to have the wrong digital decoder, a PluX16 instead of PluX22.
I didn't even know that it is working, my beliefs were that you cannot install one instead of another. Well, as you can see, you can. It works. Well, not all functions, but it works.
The PluX16 DCC decoder is definitely an ESU Loksound v.4 NEM 658.
One moment I thought it could be ZIMO, but all of ZIMO`s motherboards are black...
I will buy handles, wagon couplings, and some traction tire rings regarding all other cosmetic issues. And a good cleaning as well.
Anyway, I am very pleased with this newcomer, as the V200 was already on my short shopping list!
