Mick’s Succulents rock! I sadly have never purchased from them, have followed his tube page for quite as while now, as well as yours! Hard working young family, and I hope his business thrives!
I can’t watch this whole video right now but I did watch the opening segment. Succulents are very expensive in Australia, I’ve noticed that. I very often look at Succulents Australia website and other Australian sellers and I noticed there is a very large difference in prices. 98% of the succulents that I purchase are done online so you can imagine how stressful it is for me! Which is the reason why I started my little business I want to be able to offer quality healthy strong succulents to people in my area that don’t have access to them like other people do❤️ Can’t wait to finish this video later❤️
I so envy other people from other countries who have access to much cheaper plants than we do. We will eventually get them but we have to just grow them ourselves. Imagine what my garden would have looked like if I did. 🥰 But instead, hard work.😔
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK girl When I bought a variegated Echeveria DeCora for eight dollars and then I saw it was $180 from Succulent Australia I about pooped in my pants! Since then when I check around for prices on certain plants I always look for a price comparison to you guys and it’s outrageous😳
Girlfriend of mine got Covid and started buying jewelry online. Tens of thousands of dollars later she got over the Covid but is still buying jewelry!! I think Covid is doing wonders for online sellers. Hope you are feeling better. Thanks for the video
Oh my goodness...There are really expensive plants. A friend of mine spent $960 for one plant(one leaf), $500 for one small rosette, $680 for a couple of leaves, and so on and so forth...and it all died on her. Her husband confiscated her credit card and she's still finding other ways to buy costly(rare) plants.
Thanks for your videos Liz! I watch them all!!!. I love collecting succulents. Unfortunately i recently learned about the black market of succulents and cactus and are so sad about it! It would be great if someone like you talks about it in a video. We need to create concience so that the plants we love dont go extinct!
Luckily for us here in Australia, we do have strict customs and quarantine laws that I haven't heard of anyone here that are involve in anyway with extinct plants. I do hear about people bringing in imported plants illegally. Maybe I can tackle that issue in the future. But as far as extinct plants, I know nothing about it and therefore not an authority to speak about it.
Hello Liz, I'm so happy with you to welcome two new members in to yours succulent's collection :D. Have a good time to enjoy your new babies. Thanks for sharing :D
Ahhh they are both so beautiful. The black one is very nice. Congratulation on your babies. Your hubby is smart. Thank you for sharing God bless you and hubby.
@mickssucculents send really good sized, healthy plants. I mostly buy plants online, it is an addiction! He has a RU-vid channel too. He often posts succulent growing tips, every Tuesday I think.
I have always had a green thumb, I do landscaping for a living but I really thought there was no way I could grow succulents without killing them because I over water all my plants. I decided to buy my first succulents at Home Depot last spring, it was a 6 inch string of bananas and donkey burrows and I’ve been totally addicted since!! lol I have at least 100 different ones and most I have bought online. I just made 3 orders on Etsy for tiny rosettes succulents to make baby shower party gifts, I ordered 150 and received about 175!! Problem is I want to keep them all 😍😍 honestly I’ve never had a problem with ordering them online. Happy succulent Saturday Ms. Liz!! You’ve taught me so much about growing all these different beauties in such a short time!! I even make your master succulent soil ❤️❤️
Congratulations Liz and welcome to the world of online plant-shopping. I don't like it one bit either - but if you gotta do it.....you can't spend half your life waiting to 'come across' a treasure. I currently have Aeonium 'Shwatzkopf' on the way (woohoo)....then after that, Adenium Obesum/Desert Rose - can't wait to unbox it! Hope I have as much luck as you.....
I've purchased from Mick as well and was super impressed with quality and price. Love the Sunset peony. Off the beaten track, if one were to spray mealies at night with the metho solution you use, will they be ok yo be in the sun the following day, or would I need to wait a day or two. Thanks in advance and happy gardening. Hopefully you are feeling much better after your covid battle.
Me too miss lizk i dont really like buying succulent not in person but i dont have a choice bcause no succulent available in our place thats why i order in benguet sellers. I can't buy from Mick's due to being in a quarantine state, but I follow his RU-vid page and learned quite a few things from him and enjoy the interactions between him and his wife :p I'm glad to see you doing an unboxing video, welcome to the world of online succulent shopping!
