I am still using it and it's amazing. I don't find any problem except the fact thts it's lid is quite heavy and luckily they have provided with the other glass lid , so after I make sabji/ dal I remove the heavy lid and always keep the glass lid the whole day

Na na its fine like other cookers ! Bs u need to be careful while u cook in steel cookware , like use always medium flame to cook masalas

I didn't find any problem till now , I loved it , and even I bought 3 litres cooker of same model 😊 rest its everyone's personal choice

Hi, although they have provided gasket but there is no use of it. It is just like a dummy. Even i tried to work on it but at the end it was observed there is no specific use of it. I dnt knw why the company have provided it if it was not needed🙄

Gasket gives the lid a proper fit so that steam does not escape.

Hanji hai but food waha stick ni hota!! And yes steel ka hai to cook krte time thoda neeche lg jata Masala wegara sometimes when I cook on high flame and leave.. To dhyan rkhe ap sath sath kadhchi mare else masala ko low/medium flame me hi cook kre😊

That is just used as a base when u want to Boil potatoes or any other vegetable so that vo neeche na lge

And it's not that necessary to use!! 😊

When you place another vessel inside the cooker, then the bottom of that vessel needs to have some water to prevent burning of the cooker bottom or to transfer heat efficiently to the inner vessel you need to place the plate first & pour little water to submerge the plate first, After placing the inner vessel you need to pour water inside the inner vessel to cook the food in required quantity too. When you remove the inner vessel after cooking the water inside the inner vessel totally evaporates while the bottom of cooker where you had poured water to submerge the plate remains almost the same. Mostly bigger cookers need this plate for the above mentioned cooking method. Being a dealer in Prestige products & user of that brand I share the cooking methods with the buyers as they don't read the booklet or use the products in wrong way & then come to us complaining the product is defective & they want replacement. By the way Meenakshiji I didn't hear your giggles........lol.

Yes you are absolutely right!! I never used that plate because I never did any boiling process with that cooker!! I mostly use it for cooking any dal, rice or sbji. So, I hope this procedure isn't required when you are cooking from all the above. Soon, I am going to upload review of Prestige tava, do let me know any tips or techniques that work for it too.

May be there must be technical fault as I am using since a year

I got a replacement due to this issue and still facing the same problem, its a design issue on the valve. If this valve does not pop up then you find steam leaking from the gasket. Also unsafe design of the opening knob, you get burnt if resting your palm on the knob while opening.

Buy aluminium then, in steel Masala neeche lgta hai thoda while you cook as I have steel one... Rest it's absolutely amazing product

After you have cooked the vegetable, one can simply cover with the other lid apart from main lid provided with the product...!! And it's quite convenient too😍

Yes definitely we are still using the same the style is good and cooking too , it's just the lid is bit heavy as we get seperate lid after the dish is cooked we change the lid
