Yum. If I didn't already have the old enamel version with the 3 o'clock date complication and the now superseded 6R15 movement, this dateless beauty is the one I'd get. But... a fella only has so much moolah. Can't justify shelling out for watches that are nearly identical.
@@MlkXiu The one I have is the SPB047J... It seems there may be other references (JDM only?) where the wording "Presage " is omitted from the dial. I believe the new movement on the Arita Porcelain is the 6R31, which seems essentially to be the 6R35 without a date complication. The 6R35 seems to divide the community. Some say it is accurate enough, others not. Some say even though it's not that accurate fresh out of the box, you can get a watchmaker to regulate it. To which the comeback of some people is, why didn't they do that in the factory in the first place? The Seiko dive watch SPB143 uses the 6R35 movement too, so a search will show you the different opinions owners have on the quality of the 6R35 movement. I personally think it's not such a big deal, given that I could probably tolerate a gain or loss of 1 or 2 minutes (gasp! from some people), and I'm carrying a mobile phone anyway. It's man jewellery! So, if you like the Arita Porcelain, go for it, unless you're a hyperfussy accuracy freak (nothing wrong with that if you are!) 😁
Thanks, and I agree, if it's off even by a few min I'll be OK, my skx007 is never on time lol. The arita porcelain looks stunning in the vids, idk how it compared to the enamel tho, since it's also double/triple the price pretty much.
@@MlkXiu In Oz, the SPB047J retails for AUD1800; the SPB293J (Arita Porcelain on bracelet with white dial, not the one with the bluish tinged dial on the leather strap) goes for AUD2700. Of course, you can negotiate discounts, and thankfully, neither are limited editions.
