It's so wonderful that Jim is into homemade things and quilting as much as you are. He loves your imagination. I've seen a couple of your presentations, and he always has a ton of things to share with people that you don't mention. It brings him joy to see your creations around your home. He was having just as much fun with the box as you! You are blessed sweet Marnae. Jim, you're a rockstar for making a new home and studio for you and Marnae. 😊❤
The two of you are great together. So good to see that you are receiving tons of inspiration, fabric and fun things from so many wonderful people around the country. The sewing studio sounds awesome. So good to see you smiling!
I am so happy for you guys! I can’t wait for you to continue doing sewing videos and your home tour! You make me laugh having “discussion” about the tools and rolling pins! LOL You guys are awesome.
Oh My! Jim has such a fun sense of humor. Being polite and opening the box for you, sticking his head in the bag... he's a keeper Marnae. He's worked so hard making you a new home and a studio to sew and film. Now, you get to decorate! How fun is that going to be ❤😊

Oh my, I remember in school, covering our books with heavy paper bags! We weren't allowed to write or draw on them, just in case the ink bled through. That didn't stop any of us. We used colored pencils. But, I did cover my parent's photo albums. Each one had fabric that matched the pictures in the book. Then I made a small window on the front cover of the pictures in each book. It was a Christmas gift. It took 3 diaper boxes from the store to put them all in. My father loved it.😊
Oh my goodness you guys are so funny 😂 glad your in your new home and happy and enjoying each other ❤️ can’t wait till your sewing studio is done and your doing what you love ❤️
Your husband loves the way you make youe house a HOME. My silverware disappears all the time. If I want to keep things, I need to hide things away from my son and grandkids. Many times nice things they go to my mother's house where only one or two people live. Oh, I have several rolling pins too.
My goodness, my ex-husband would love that strawberry quilt! He loves strawberries, and used to call our daughter his little strawberry girl. He loves everything I create, and his wife as well. We get along quite well, all 3 of us. It's odd to most, but not for us. 😊
Oh my gosh!! My mom told me to name my new sewing space “ New Beginnings “ I love your suggestion! Now that just confirms it. Great idea for a quilt too! I love it!!
Hello Marnae, I loved this video, Thank you for sharing. I am a very new quilter. I really have just make scrappy quilts and log cabins so far. I just do not understand how to read a pattern. I watched several videos on reading a pattern. All they said was read the pattern thougholy... LOL Can you made a detailed video with step by step pattern reading instructions? Thanks have a great day!
Hello, I understand as I had trouble reading patterns as well. I'm self taught with the help of other RU-vid quilters. Some patterns I still struggle with at times but I usually figure out most. I improvise on a lot of things or I like to put my own spin on designs. A great start on quilting is getting some Lori Holt books. She has several great books out on quilt blocks. Easy to read & follow with pictures! I'm obsessed with her books. Vintage farm girl & farm girl 2 are nice to start with. I hope to do some great teaching videos once I get into my new studio. You can e-mail me at countryfarmhousequilting@gmail.com if you would like to chat more about quilting 😊❤️
Ooohhh! I was sewing excited with that pattern!!! I love it!! I made one already & showed my friend Marlene how to make one. We want to make more!!! They are adorable! Thank you sooooo much!!! ♥️♥️♥️
I wish I could stop by and quilt with you. But, I live in the Midwest. Traveling that far is not in the budget. I remember your last sewing room, and I commented that you and I must have been separated at birth. I no longer have a room to sew, except my dining room 😅. But, it works out just fine when I need it. I don't have a quilting machine either, just my domestic machine.
Sharon, I wish we could sew together too! Maybe we could do an online sewing meet sometime. We do what we gotta do to sew. I too am sewing in my dining room right now. Not much space but keeps me sewing 😃♥️ Hugs to you!
did you ever receive the purple and green quilt from Azusa, CA? It is a Lone Star. Tried to get it there in time for your fundraiser but it might have been late.
Hello! yes! It made it to our benefit. It was beautiful and a friend of mine from Addison, NY won it! I was so happy for her! I'm sorry that I didn't get your address from the box to say Thank you!! It was a very busy time that day. So Thank you again soooo much!! ❤️❤️
I’m in Baraboo Wisconsin. 888 miles away. Do you know any truckers who might be on their way back to NY with a space for a few? I would love to bring them but have to take care pf my 96 y o Mom 24/7.
