Love the Hello Kitty alarm clock!! I think it requires a battery and a plug in because in case the power goes out, your alarm will still go off. I don't think you actually need the battery unless you are worried about the power going out! Plugging it into an outlet will keep it powered.

The Hello Kitty Light thing is probably on demo mode there should be a swtich under it to switch it to regular mode then it should stay on. The alarm clock should work when plugged in the battery area should be for backup if the electricity goes out which of course can still power it!

Picked the literally BEST CHIPS there. Those cheddar sour cream chips are so gooood. And FROOT LOOPS AHAHAHAHHA! Also, the Hello Kitty Projector Clock I own and used as a kid, it uses radio stations sometimes? As well as plays white noise. It was always super weird and hard to mess with growing up lol

I have the hello kitty light and you press the hello kitty button and I used it as a nightlight and she is so fun to look at! The head is supposed to be clear.
