Juanma Flores muchas gracias!!!! Me alegro que te haya gustado!!!! Pensé que seria interesante compartir ese momento con más fans de steve jordan! 😄🔝 un saludoooo!!! Keep on groove!!!!
Man!!! You sound DOPE on those hats! Seriously, brother. Nice. I’m sold on those hats. I’m amazed at how much sound comes out of those hats. I had 15” thin Ks and they disappeared in the mix. These sound like they might stick out in a nice mellow way. True?
Justin Shannon hey man! Thanks so much! Yes these hats are awesome! Huge low pitch and paste perfect with the voice and the song when u mix, of course depen to the song and style... but this kind of blues, rock, pop, funk sound it’s perfect. For me my Paiste Masters Dark 15” hats are my bright hats 😂! Listen my last cover, u can listen these hats in a different ways! Keep on groove man! 😄🙏🏿
Topsy Turvy5 well this is a good question. First, just to start to answer, after I try this hats, I sold my 30th anniversary... 😂 it’s just a detail to start the answer. I really loved my 30th anniversary... but this hats have a better tone for me, when you r playing a song I think it paste better with bass, guitars, voice... hats are a little bit more thin, but at the same time more brilliant (not as a heavy hats u know... ) so this it give u a best tone. One more thing that I love it’s how it close both cymbals, it souns perfect, really... if u want to play jazz music u could do! With the low pitch u got a cool sound! I needed a pair of hats before... I used the 30th and light traditional from istanbul agop too, cause the 30th were really low tone and dry and dark! So it depends of the song or style I needed to change to the traditional light istanbul. What I did? Sold both hats... and with this newest, I can play everything. And finally if you open a little bit the hats... 😱😱😱😱😱 you have the coolest ride/crash u could find! You could play as a Taylor Hawkins or you could play a Steve Ray Vaughan shuffle song! It sounds awesome! Look how it moves both cymbals... they were made for each other 😅🔝 And well... I think this is a good resum of what I feel with this cymbals! Wait! One more thing! If you are in the studio... and you need to make some overdraps of cymbals... you have two crashes!!!!!! That it sounds really cool! Personally... I don’t like small cymbals, but it depends of the style or the song you could need it... so now I have two small crashes! 😅🤘🏿for example... if you r on the bridge of the song, you could play without hats, so you have your ride and two diferent crashes! It’s cool! Always in the studio... not at live! Well hope this helps!!!! Keep on groove!!!!!! 😄🔝🤘🏿
when steve is touring with john what kit does he use? i know its a very old kit since he used in on the 2009/10 battle studies tour. I know he has two kits im not talking about the daxdad kit im talking about the main kit, is it one of the old yamaha absolute kit? or is it one of the new club customs i honestly cant tell
Kevin Smith I THINK... the gold one is a yamaha birch custom absoulte, with wood hopps (John Mayer band 2009 and 2018). With the trio (last tour).. he used a vintage Rogers kit (pink). And with Eric Clapton (2013) he used the club custom (prototype). Hope this helps!!!!! 😄🙏🏿🔝
Steve plays an old Yamaha Maple Custom with woods hoops 13" Rack Tom 2 Floor Toms (18" and 16") 24" x 18" Kick Drum I spoke to him with mayer he said he only uses this kit with john because its too big and heavy for anything else gyazo.com/d77e016d69c2451bd70b0e2f74a913e7 thats the exact kit only steve has a shiny sparkle on his. hope this helps :)
@@2sGHD Talking with another Steve Jordan fan from germany few days ago... Steve never used the club custom, with Clapton used the maple custom with the orange swirl finish! May be u know more about that! thanks again dude!!!!
@@MikiGrau In 2013 he used the club custom swirl prototype, and in 2006 and 7 he used the Maple custom the same one he uses with john only when he used it with clapton in 2007 it had a different colour hope this helps
Is anbody good at analyzing steve jordan live? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2J020r7mrZo.htmlm31s what notes are he playing to make that sound so good? im new at this so sorry if its dumb
Hey dude!!!! Well, I think he plays sixteenth notes on the snare drum, 3rd note with accent... and the question about why it sound good... his GROOVE. Hope this helps!!!!! Keep on groove man! thanks for comment!
Damn, those surely sound amazing. I've been wanting to buy myself some new hats but these bad boys and the 30th anniversary are expensive. What other similar but less expensive hats would you recommend?
Oscar Martinez yeah this hats sounds great! May be you could find some Istanbul Agop hats... all good cymbals are expensive 😓 or some Amedia cymbals, turkish cymbals without great name you know.. go to your drumstore, and try all not expensive hats.. sure u fins something good! Hope this helps dude! Keep in touch!
@@MikiGrau Nice! I use a 16 Dark Energy as top and 16 Sound Formula as bottom. Amazing! I also have the 22 DE mk 1, 19 DE crash, 10 DE splash, and 14 DE hats. All amazing. This is a great line of cymbals.
I've always wanted to see these! No longer only my imagination.. Great to get a peak.. Look forward to hearing them with better audio and with some music.. ✌🏽️
adrok 1 that’s why I do the video! I’ve always wanted to see these too 😅😂 Yeaaah this summer I gonna make some steve jordan’s corner new videos! With the hihat! May be I could do again all steve jordan’s corner songs? 😂😓 I recorded in the studio (work) with this hats last week and it sounds awesome! Thanks for comment dude! Keep on groove! 😄🔝👍🏿
Miki Grau Absolutely man, you could do a mash up of your favourite grooves you’ve worked on.. I’ve always enjoyed the detail and effort you go to to get the sound right for different tracks.. especially with your snare drums.. What a great foundation and pocket you’ve got to study this man like you have.. keep up the good work man. ✌🏽
Wooooow this is a good idea for a video! I will do! I just writed on my diary! Thanks so much dude! I think this is the key of the song, how the snare drum paste with the voice, so If you could find this sound...you have the 50% of the recording, after u have to play it! Thanks so much again dude! Keep on groove!
adrok 1 thanks dude!!!! For me it doesnt care how many likes I have! I just want to share my study about Steve Jordan and my pation about his music! And bealive me.. best think u could do to get better your groove is recording yourself, it’s awesome how u learn with it! Keep on groove dude!!!!
