Happy New Year! Can you center the beaters left to right on the drum? I just got the Tama HP30TW Standard Double Pedal, which is a great upgrade for me, but that's one thing missing... the left beater is left of center with no easy fix.

Happy New Year! Yes, I know this problem, unfortunately you can't do anything about it! Enjoy your pedal as it is.

I had to set my Dyna spring tension as light as possible and move the cobra coil to a lighter position as well. I like the pedals overall. I have DW MDD's and had to set the spring tension on those as tight as possible. They felt so light. I also have speed cobras and DW 9000's with trick shafts for both. They are all great. It is interesting that the DW direct drives and Dynas are so opposite in spring tension feel. Does any one else feel the Dynas almost have a limit to the distance they go? For example holding the beater on the head there is a lot of tension in that position. On DW's there is none. I only burry the beater for tension. I usually play off the head 90% of the time. I also had Demon drives and it was even more extreme that the Dyna Syncs. It's almost as if they beater just doesn't go far enough. I almost thought that my BD hoops was too deep until I set them up on several sets. I don't hear many people mention this. DW's feel like they have more swing at the end of the stroke into the head. I think my favorites are still Speed Cobras with Trick shaft and Dayna Beaters or DW air light beaters, tied with the 9000's standard foot board. The Dyna Beaters discolor after use. They must just have an outer coating of black paint. They are white after you play them enough. I like the way they feel and sound. I like getting as many different pedals and try all the settings to see how I can adjust my playing. I think I might try the Demons again because it has been about 10 years since I had them. Also Yamaha flyers and a Speed King I have not played for about 30 years. I will keep the Dyna Syncs for sure as well as the Speed Cobras, DW MDD's and DW 9000's. I might want to try the DW MCD's

That's good to know. I used the Axis Longboards since 2001. I changed the drive shaft because it broke after 15 years of use. I really like my Dyna Syncs. I thought that it would take some time to get used to it, but it was fine with the factory settings. After 3 months of playing with it, I am very happy with my change from the Axis to the Dyna Syncs.

HATE the cheap screw on the hoop clamp system. I like the way you think though.

Yes I agree that they could use the better version on that wingnut.

Hi everyone, I just bought a dyna sync double pedal after 20+ years playing on iron cobras power glide. I tried to apply the same settings as the iron cobra to the dyna sync = same beaters, similar footboard angle, and similar spring tension (heavy spring tighten to the maximum) but it feels weird, especially on the left pedal. Basically, it's been 3 days and it feels like I don't know how to play anymore...Has anybody encountered similar feels? Thank you

You'll need to replace the driveshaft with a ball-bearing one.

Yes I will use in the future either the Trick one or the ACD Unlimited drive shaft.

Happy 🎉New Year 🍀🍀🍀. Very nice pedal. I had the newest generation of Iron Cobra and Speed Cobra. But now I use the Yamaha DFP9C double pedal. I never tried a direct drive. The TAMA Dyna Sync looks great. I have a TAMA Dyna Sync Hihat stand and it is great. To become a complete TAMA fanboy, you need the Dyna Sync Hihat aswell. All the best from Germany 🍀

Happy New Year! Thanks my firend! I use direct drive pedals for 22 years and still am. But I also use the iron cobra and the speed corba as my back up pedal, or as pedal that I use when I play live gigs. I will change the hi hat stand to a Tama one soon. :p Thanks again!

@@DanielCharavitsidis yes, thanks my friend. I guess using a direct drive needs a bit time to get used to it. I think I must try one day. All the best.
