As I've said to you before, I have actually decoded all of these, and it goes so far past just the stones into large discoveries in all ancient cultures. I've been studying this topic for more than a year after reading more than 300 books, and I'll be selling beautiful bracelets made of the best of *these* stones on the market now together with sharing my science paper and probably a really amazing book already. Lots of new researches are coming in the fields of language and media design. These 12 have been my inspiration from breathtaking Apocalypse and how many colors these can gift to our world. P.S. Carnelian is not originally the first 😉 And my list is 100, I repeat, 100% correct (sounds unbelievable, huh? But I've rendered this truth obvious in my paper). Original list from ~16th century BCE is so very different.

As a believer in God’s word, I am truly loving the fact that you were respectful of the stones in Aaron’s breastplate. The discussions were so fascinating. Stones and minerals etc. were talked about a lot in the scriptures, usually for good purposes, even David’s 5 pebbles. My large collection of gems and minerals are a reminder that God created them for us to use and enjoy. Thank you for today’s episode guys- I loved it. 🥰🥰

This was such a great and engaging video and I really enjoyed all of the research you guys put into it! My mom was a Sunday school teacher until just recently, and I remember her having a card with small stones attached to it that were supposed to represent possible stones used for Aaron's breastplate. I'll have to show her this video because I know she'll enjoy and appreciate it! I also really appreciate that you took the time to showcase all of the different possible gemstones that might have been used rather than focusing on only one option for each tribe. Really well done and I'd LOVE to see more historical gemstone videos like this in the future! 🤩

The Hebrew names for these stones are for specific colors. The Hebrew word for Sapphire is about the same as English.The book I'm writing has a chapter about the stones on Aaron's Breastplate. I began watching this channel for help with understanding and identifying the different stones but I have my doubts that we can rule out the possibility of the Ancients being able to cut and engrave the harder stones. There is historical evidence of the possibility. I want to cite this channel as one of my sources and I've been wanting to send you a copy of my book when it's finished and ready to publish 🙂

You're right. Still, the books' main purpose has been to mythologically combine the knowledge of the origins of human civilization, and the results, when canonized, were supposed to contain the essense of city building for everyone to know. The readings better be mega literal, word-for-word, for the best understanding.

I remember reading that the Egyptians threw gold and treasures to the Hebrews as they left Egypt. So maybe some gems came from that. Egypt was practically the center of trade in the world at that time. Perhaps the Hebrews weren't limited to the mines in near by areas. Yall did a great job! Really enjoyed the video.
@GEMSofGOD_com
@GEMSofGOD_com Год назад
Yes, and here's another interesting thing to consider. They used the same names for gemstones and similar-looking glass. By the time of Exodus all turquoise mines have been depleted, and they hadn't valued it, like, at all. Not even placed it anywhere near glass that they considered even more valuable than most gemstones! Together with (weirdly enough, but most definitely) glass, Aaron's breastplate contained stones from Persia, far north, and various other places other than Egypt. And the stone that was popular in Persia was very rare to even appear in Egypt, at least until later times. Couldn't be any other stone though. Again, another proof that this view of this story is a myth. Ancient words better be understood in a bit of another way. 30% of Exodus used Egyptian words. And Egyptian has been quite a maze. That Hebrew from Egypt, unsurprisingly so, too. Many literal meanings. The word "canon" appeared in Greece, but this stones part of Exodus was a canon in that sense. A "let's use these words and build our civilization like this" kind.

@@gems no, thank you l! It's obvious the research you put into it I love watching your videos and it has inspired me to make a actual breastplate I'm going to do a white gold silver platinum and gold into a mokume gane for the back and sides of a traditional breastplate from time period in the front I will use 18k gold and inlay some purple gold in the edge with each of the gemstones you used I have large rough of almost all of them already and it will be tough picking what agate but I will pick out a large one with the most colors from my rough I know the shoulder harness and back and sides wouldn't be accurate but the religious text's focus on the front breastplate and believe it was the outer layer on the front breastplate because gold would be pretty bad armor and I like putting in the purple frame using purple gold just not a material many people use so I am inspired to make a new piece of art, your videos often inspire me, I then come up with the idea and if I have trouble executing the design then if it is a tool or polish John at gearloose is wonderful to everyone and let's be frank almost every modern great lapidariest uses his darkside laps or other laps that he invented along with the stick versions of the polishing agents he made I mean he is amongst those like Dr. Hanneman who also was a chemist and Justin k primm also gives amazing advice to anyone who asks. People don't realize how friendly and nice people are in the non-commercial lapidary world yes they all have products inventions and so on but they don't do it for the money it's passion John could have retired many times but as he said what would he do watch daytime TV and primm has a piece six feet from the hope diamond what more level of recognition of talent is there? The fact they still continue is a tribute to the passion and addiction this truly is. People may not admit it but you know you lick rocks too. Lol the lapidary arts gemology is addiction at its best my family has a rule twenty minutes max a day of me talking about gemstones because otherwise I compare or relate somehow everything to gemstones or lapidary work or making jewelry. Your can't help it once you get the bug. So I truly thank you for the inspiration.

Amazing, awesome, very cool. That you guys are doing this. I would say it was safe to steer clear of the pearl. As in that time, they did not eat shellfish. It is centered unclean even to touch. I really do think that the breast plate would correlate directly with revelation. But that would take serious studying. other science nowadays that shows that the stones in revelation Would all be asatoprofic in instead of isotrophic? I'm not sure if I spell gold's words right? But the idea is that when pure light shines through the stones, they well be seen. And not go black like diamond and ruby are just black. But the other stones often have colors App shown through light, pure light.
@gems
@gems 4 месяца назад
Yes, we've seen those claims. It's anisotropic and isotropic. Basically, anisotropic gems split light while isotropic gems do not. Ruby is actually anisotropic (though some of the stones that were called "ruby" in those days were isotropic). Diamond is not. The idea is that, in some translations, all the gems in the foundation of New Jerusalem are anisotropic. And since they split the light, this allows them to create certain light effects when viewed through a polarizer, while isotropic stones remain dark. I'm not sure where I fall on this. There is decent evidence that at least one of the stones in the breastplate was garnet, and that is isotropic. But, I haven't really delved into it deeply. Maybe that would be a good idea for another video?

Great video, and very insightful. I have one question and one humble request: Q: Instead of #7 being amber, what do you think of the warm stone being Amber's younger brother - Copal? Copal seems warmer/lighter to me and is made of the same organic material just not 10 million years old. Any feedback, pro or con? Humble Request: As Rev 21 describes the 12 layers, could you please create a video talking thru each of the Revelation stones in a similar fashion? Are all of the same stones used only in different positions? Again, wonderful video and delivery! Thank you for posting!
@gems
@gems Год назад
It’s an interesting thought. Of course, back then, methods to distinguish copal and amber would have been quite limited. The thought is that whichever stone this was, it was a particularly fine variety….your request has been noted. We did do a video on Gems of Heaven and touched on the foundation stones of new Jerusalem, but we’d love to go further in depth one day.

The stones represent names, with meanings, conveying the Gospel. Men in their wisdom have become fools. Remember the appearance of the one upon the throne? The rainbow around the throne? Here is the interpretation by the Spirit of God and the Holy Scriptures, may the Lord give you understanding. The Jasper is the last stone on the breastplate of judgment. The Sardine is the first. The Emerald is the fourth. Each represents a name and meaning. Jasper is Benjamin, son of the right hand. Sardine is Reuben, to behold. He is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, and many that be first shall be last, and last first. There is a rainbow of praise (Emerald, Judah, meaning praise) around the throne, meaning the manifold things to praise him for in all of his covenants. The Son of man, the Lord, is seated on his throne, beholding all the sons of men. Behold, the Son of God, the LORD, seated upon his throne and worship thou him. Blessed are the pure in heart.

why do the names of gems get displayed so short of time?? I am trying to write down which gems are talked about in video. how could I get a transcript for each video? Close caption does not correctly spell the gem names. I am a slow reader. I am trying to cross ref which gem is talked about in which video.

Yahalem might have been Jade whitish nephrite And other one I thinkn was pearl. Your excuse was that Pearl was "extremely rare" which is not really true. Diving for pearl was a common job for the people near the sea and pearl was mined for millenia and traded, It was valuable but used and thats why it should have been one the gems used by them. Gad you chose turquoise for the right reason I have seen many dont include it in the list which is ridiculous.
