i just bought a black one, but it comes with a transparent cap/protective lid, looks more proper. it also comes with hdmi and rca ports and cables. so i guess there are various manufacturers releasing this type of player. overall, its a decent little thing😊
Ah yes, a portable CD player you need to plug into usb. Also that thing is a safety hazard if the laser still comes on when there isn’t a disc in the player when it’s on, and is it really a good idea to have a cd spinning like that, not only do cds spin at a minimum 200 rpm, which is quite fast, but also it seems like a bad design due to the whole disc mechanism and disc not having any protection, the simple solution would have been to just include a transparent lid that flips open, you can still see it spin, but now it’s all much safer
i stopped a computer fan that spins at 1000~ rpm with my hands, im pretty sure i wont get cut by a disc spinning at 200 rpm (up to 500 rpm). but other then that its generaly not a safe player, lasers are senitive to specifc light and may cause read errors, for a music cd player its not a problem since error correction will just easily mask all of this up. and this player also looks pretty cheap feeling, so i feel like the cd would just fall out of that clam.
It's cool but If something breaks with the part that holds the cd breaks and becomes lose and comes out when spinning can be extremely unsafe or even deadly since it spins extremely fast as fast as a hand saw but it should be fine if taken care of still pretty cool be careful just in case
@@kattycreates Yes, it won the good design award in 2000. I don't think Muji sells them anymore, tho. They released it around the time when CD sales peaked at an all time high (1999-2000), and then it never recovered after that. Interestingly, film photography also peaked in sales in 2000 (film rolls) and never recovered after that. A little piece of history lol.
Hey how is it holing up till now? I saw so many bad reviews on amazon on the cheaper ones. Im kinda worried to get a cheap one when it breaks so fast. q.q
Hii! Honestly mine is holding up pretty well. I dont display it out in the open, yet. Ive been trying to find the best way to display it to avoid dust and sun damage 🥹
It's generic unbranded dropship, you'd have better luck getting a cheapo used discman and aux out to a decent speaker honestly if you're concerned at all about sound quality
This is a good yet stupid design the good part is that it’s very cool the other thing…. The cds can break/scratch easily but I like it! (But I prefer my zénith audio system with cd/cassette/radio
I recently had a revelation that told me the CD resurgence will be aided in part by the introduction of a popular easy to use and trendy to own CD player that you can see it spin in
Worst design for a CD player, I own a Pioneer CD deck system manufactured in 1994 and it uses a tray design, not what I call, a “pop it on” design. That would only last what I would guess 3 years. Edit: I know own a Pioneer multi disc system with a 6 disc changer system that uses a magazine for the disc's. I don't know the manufacturing date, but I know it will last longer than that.
????? There is no protection under the cd ???? The red laser can be dangerous for eyes be carefull. I can’t believe this CD player is legal . What is the country ? The cd is made in , where ? Honestly this is dangerous .
Although the look is cute and totally agree, the quality is terrible compared to a portable CD player in the 1990s ; thus it's recommended to avoid it due the quality. Remember Kids,Looks can be Deceiving
