Quick look at the CZ-USA Drake 12 gauge, 28" barrel. Music provided by: The Hell Country Truckers Song: Falling Over You Album: Drinkin' & Women Website: www.thehellcountrytruckers.com/
It is a great budget friendly gun. In my opinion, it has held up well. I would never pretend that it is a show piece, but it still goes bang and it is showing typical wear.
Is there a trick to attaching the barrels assembly to the receiver. This is my first O/U , a CZ Drake as well. For the life of me figuring out if I am supposed to drop the barrel in at an slight angle and pushing forward on the round pins, I just can not get the hang of it
You should see round notches on the barrel that coincide with the receiver. They do go together on an angle, but once you find the sweet spot they fit together very easily.
Stibby G the gun is holding up fine. Has seen a little wear on the safety, but otherwise the black chrome is in good shape. The break action often needs oiling otherwise it seems to catch a little. I think that linkage is a bit tighter than it needs to be. Overall we are impressed with the way it has performed for its price point!
G2G_4i about 1200 rounds or so. I didn’t hunt with it this fall, so the last several boxes have all been on trap. During the snow free months, I use it about twice a month.
I'm interested to find out the actual weight of the 12 gauge CZ Drake. Would you be willing to put it on a kitchen scale and let me know the actual weight?
Bottom line.... have you taken it out for a day of trap/skeet or sporting clays? And how did your shoulder hold up with the lightweight gun after a full day?
800lb Gorilla The recoil is certainly felt after a day of shooting. I didn’t notice any issues while shooting trap because the shoulder mount is set and it is one bird at a time. During a full round of sporting clays, my shoulder became sore. The recoil pad is not very significant, so purchasing an additional one might be the fix. Thanks for watching!
Holding up well. Only real wear spots are near the safety. The gun is cleaned and oiled regularly which contributes to the nice appearance. No concerns about the finish from us.
Performing well. I use it more for upland hunting and less for sporting clays. The lightweight nature of the gun causes me some shoulder fatigue after 50+ rounds.
@@YouBetchaOutdoors1 Thanks. That is a fine line, isn't it - Weight versus shoulder comfort? I just started trap shooting and used an 18" barreled home defense pump shotgun for my first 5 trap rounds. It worked, but my shoulder was sore after and I think I can do better, LOL!
spencer murphy holding up well! Does seem to need cleaning after each use otherwise she hangs up a bit in the break. Otherwise very happy with the purchase.
@@YouBetchaOutdoors1 would you recommend it at the price range or prefer another gun for slightly more money (or less)? Can it shoot buck and slugs if need be? Thanks!
Braddah Sense overall it is a nice firearm. I would say it is appropriately priced. If you are willing to spend a little more, I would look at other options. The $800-$1000 range seems to open up more options and better overall quality. I have not seen any recommendations for using this gun with slugs. It is designed for bird hunting. Some have stated that it can be done, but we would not recommend it for that purpose.
Highly reccommend that you DO NOT buy CZ shotguns, After only one cleaning the finish on the receiver is gone and chrome lining on barrels shows signs of peeling off.
@@Zat77 I know their low end shotguns are made in Turkey nowadays, but am really surprised at this, I have been eyeballing a couple side by side from them...
